A	Ariane on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Unser Urlaub in den Garden Bungalows war grandios! Wir haben uns in nur einer Woche so erholt, wie sonst in mindestens drei. Das Areal ist eine Oase der Ruhe. Tags wie nachts sind nur die Grillen und das Rauschen der Olivenbäume im Wind zu hören. Die Bungalows sind sehr geschmackvoll, mit viel Liebe und komfortabel eingerichtet. Wir haben uns vom ersten Moment zu Hause gefühlt. Es hat an nichts gefehlt. Die Sauberkeit der Bungalows und der gepflegte Garten sind absolut überdurchschnittlich. Es war im August sehr heiß als wir dort waren, die Klimaanlage funktionierte aber prima und kühlte den Bungalow schnell runter. Wir hatten jeden Tag die Qual der Wahl an einem der schönen Strände zu verweilen, in den Bergen zu wandern oder einfach nur auf der Terrasse der Anlage zu lesen. Obwohl wir in der absoluten Hochsaison dort waren, war es sowohl im Ort als auch an den Stränden nicht überfüllt. Wer Ruhe und Entspannung sucht ist hier wirklich absolut richtig! Wir kommen auf alle Fälle wieder und bleiben nächstes Mal noch länger! Our vacation in the Garden Bungalows was terrific! We recovered as much in just one week as we normally did in at least three. The area is an oasis of calm. Day and night, only the crickets and the rustling of the olive trees in the wind can be heard. The bungalows are very tastefully, lovingly and comfortably furnished. We felt at home from the first moment. There was nothing missing. The cleanliness of the bungalows and the well-kept garden are absolutely above average. It was very hot in August when we were there, but the air conditioning worked fine and cooled the bungalow down quickly. Every day we were spoiled for choice: whether to linger on one of the beautiful beaches, hike in the mountains or just read on the terrace of the complex. Although we were there in the absolute high season, it was not overcrowded either in the village or on the beaches. If you are looking for peace and relaxation, this is the place for you! We'll definitely be back and stay longer next time!

Gute Ausgangsposition für Ausflüge in Ostkreta Lovingly furnished stone houses. The owner Dimitri is always around but never intrusive. Good starting point for excursions in East Crete

Nested in the middle of olive trees, these old stone bungalows will help you reset, relax and find your inner self. You will find beauty inside and out, the decoration of the bungalows is lovely and nature is wild and beautiful.. You can just relax in the garden or go explore the surroundings, great place for hikers and/or beach lovers. Everything is close by, one day excursions are easy to do. Macrygalios is a lovely town with everything you may need and beautiful beaches and it is only 10 minutes walking distance! the host is very friendly and knowledgeable of the area and always ready to help you plan your day. I definitely recommend these bungalows and will be back myself.

The bungalows are immaculately clean and well equipped. They all have beautiful gardens tended by their owner who couldn’t have been more helpful and welcoming! There is so much to do in the area. We only managed to explore a fraction of what is there: mountain walks, great beaches, lovely taverns....We can’t wait to return.
M	Medart Jansen on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have stayed in Garden Bungalows for 2 weeks and it was everything I've expected from it. The bungalows are very beautiful and charming. The host is very hospitable, kind and friendly. But most of all the area is amazing. If you are looking for a time away in nature, this is the place. The bungalows are situated in a gorge in South Crete, a river runs trough it, but I don't know if that's the case all year. You can make awesome trips by bike (the host can provide you one) or on foot. It's also next to the E4 pathway. You can walk all the way up to a little mountain village, Pefki. But there are many others gorges in the area to explore such as the butterfly-gorge and many picturesque mountain villages. Awesome views at the mountains and the sea, gorges with waterfalls, charming villages, friendly people, lovely nature, good food...all nearby. And last but not least of course the peace and tranquility that Garden Bungalows has to offer. A vacation I will never forget and has totally recharged my batteries!
L	Lars Lehmann on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hidden gem … this is a wonderful place to enjoy Crete in a traditional area that is far away from mass tourism. The small bungalow offers all you need and is charming with small details and a even more charming host ? … you stay in a remote area but still in reach of everything you need and like to have in a holiday (beautiful beach, nice restaurant, shops etc.). It could be recommended to have a car or motorbike to get around easily. The village is in walking distance but it is more convenient to do this way by car. You will be happy to stay here. And most probably you will return.

We initially reserved 3-4 nights and had planned on moving on elsewhere after that, but loved being there so much that we extended our stay. The cottages are sparkling clean and set up with a lot of thought - they have everything you need for a comfortable stay, including a small kitchenette. We stayed in two different cottages and each had its own private garden, with flowers and herbs for your morning tea and a place to sit and read or relax. The cottages are a short walk from the beach and local restaurants, a short drive from a plethora of dazzling bays, and a few steps away from the Pefki Gorge, a lovely hike along the E4. It's convenient to have a car. Dimitri is kind and thoughtful, as are the locals. We really loved our stay in Dimitri's Garden Bungalows and would highly recommend them to anyone travelling through Crete!
