★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This hotel was by far the best hotel I've ever stayed in. The view is absolutely stunning. It's also incredibly quiet and peaceful, since it is a bit out of town. The rooms are fantastic and spacious, with a large brand new bathroom. Even though the rooms were modern, they also still maintained a traditional Greek feel. The service was also on point. Everyone was super friendly, and bar staff would even deliver drinks to us for free. They also brought us free shots a couple of times. The receptionist was also amazingly helpful and welcoming. Could not recommend this place more highly. My fiance got engaged here and we will definitely be returning for our honeymoon.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ LOCATION IS NOT IDEAL! It’s at least 15 minute walk from the closest restaurant and it’s all uphill! The hotel only serves breakfast so keep that in mind - you don’t want to have to walk for 30 mins round trip for every little thing you need. Better rent a car but the parking is limited also.
The room gets super hot and the AC blows to your head overnight so you can’t turn it on. The windows/doors don’t have the net so you can’t keep them opened over night so you end up getting boiled in the room.
The views are amazing though.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The views from the hotel are breathtakingly beautiful. We had the room with our own porch where we could sunbathe on beds facing the view all day until sunset which was incredible (only gripe is that we wished they provided parasoles for some shade as the hotel faces the sun for most of the day so gets really hot). Should also mention that in front of the porch there is a walkway for the public to get across the town Oia which means people often do have a little snoop at you on the porch (advantage for those who love people watching).
Breakfast was standard with the usual eggs, sausages, cheeses, breads, fruits, cakes. But why is there no toaster! Felt that the kitchen staff were slow with replenishing the hot food and milk dispenser so often we had to wait for someone to do it.
Rooms were exceptionally clean, comfortable double beds, air con was also good (although a bit hard to use the remote). Bathroom was clean with shower gels but we found that across Greece most showers don’t have the shower head place above your head as they are all hand held (this is quite annoying).
George at the front desk was fantastic at giving advice on where to go, what to eat, car hire etc and was super friendly and helpful with our needs.
Hotel also provides a bottle of wine upon arrival and a bottle of water every day.
Indeed the location of the hotel isn’t great for amenities (no mini markets for water or snacks and restaurants are atleast 20 min uphill walk so would advise a car hire since taxis are expensive).
Car parking spaces are really limited outside the hotel too but they have another car park across the road for a few extra cars.
One small pool which to be honest we didn’t use but were told was really cold (great for a cool down I suppose) and full sunbeds and beanies for everyone to use.
Overall we were extremely pleased with our stay at Gizis. Easily our most favourite part of our trip around Greece (just mentioned a few gripes for full transparency but nothing to worry about).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were disappointed by the service we received at Gizis Exclusive from the moment we arrived. This hotel is certainly not ‘luxury’ per your website description. We had high expectations from Secret Escapes as we have used the service before and the standards were high.
To set the scene, our flight was unable to land in Santorini on the scheduled day, so we were a day late.
1. As soon as I parked the car in the hotel car park, a lady came out and told me to remove it as they were renovating the car park. I asked where and she pointed into the distance and said there might be space there. They knew the stress we had been under due to turbulence and the delay, but yet the first thing we were told is to move the car elsewhere - before we even had a chance to take our bags out.
2. That evening, after dinner, we thought we’d relax by using the outdoor hot tub and watch a film on my iPad. We got in the hot tube and realised the water was too cold. It was luke-warm. We had to get out as it was too cold to use.
3. We had showers and got into bed and turned the lights off, only to realise it was still very bright. The emergency exit green lights and router blue lights meant the room was well lit.
4. The next morning, we walked up to the breakfast room per the instructions given the day before. As we opened the door, we found that it was under renovation. The builder told us to go to our room and that breakfast would be brought to us in 30 minutes. Breakfast arrived and consisted off a plate of cucumbers, olives and tomatoes and a plate of bread rolls. This is not what we expect as breakfast from a luxury hotel.
5. We arrived back from a day out and wanted to shower to freshen up, however, the water was ice cold.
6. The next morning, we went over to the breakfast room to find it was usable. We asked what the vegan options were and were told it was salad and bread. We had informed the hotel on arrival that we had dietary requirements, yet they made no arrangements. They did not have any dairy-free milk, so I suggested to go to the shop down the road and get one. They then suggested they would go instead.
7. They did not have a working coffee machine at breakfast, instead it was only filter coffee. Not luxury at all and not even nice.
8. We decided to relax in our balcony area that day only to find that they were doing building work next door - cutting wood and walking past our balcony constantly. At one point they were having a staff meeting next to our balcony, talking loud and almost sounded like arguing. We went back into our room at this point.
The experience we had was fine for a 2 star hotel, but certainly not for a 3 star hotel branded as luxury. We do not feel that we received value for money at this hotel and it has certainly reduced our trust in what secret escapes requires for a hotel to be premium. We paid full price but were treated like we were staying there for free and that we did not matter.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Outstanding views, location and service! Constantina and Medina were great! Recommended Mama Lena’s for a great meal and set up a boating excursion to the Caldera with a delicious meal and drinks. Unit 26 has beautiful views of the Caldera and Ageon Sea. Location was perfect for my family we loved it. Yohda and Sophia were great with breakfast and the poolside bar. Housekeeping was friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend Gizis Exclusive Resort.

Staff are friendly and helpful at every turn. We had a family room, two rooms each with a bathroom. Fantastic!!!
