GMP Bouka Resort Hotel - Παραλία Μπούκας

Very calm hotel with nice pool and beach. We got upgradded to suite and excellent reception service by Maria. However, not 5 stars as restaurant/bar service was very slow. Also had a plumbing problem with the shower (Maria provided another room to shower until it was partially repaired).

Very ugly beachfront ambience. Hundreds of sun chairs very close to each other. Which kills the nice beach area. Luckily there is an other nice beach bar at the left side... @GMP why do you need to have hundreds of this ugly tables and chairs, wouldn't it be a much nicer place without this narrowing seating? FYI was just a beach front guest. Cannot say anything about the hotel

We stay here 7 days with half board and we are pleased with all ! The personal at the reception is warm, smiling all the time and helpful. Our aircon did not work at the begining, they fixed it right away. The food is very good, tasty and fresh, I loved it, especialy the chocolate cakes and very good sweets each evening, congrats to the chef ! In the morning, near the 6 hot dishes and a lot of cold ones, unfortunately they haven't no salad or vegetables... Only at the dinner, there is a choice of 6 or more salads. The food was not repetitive, every time was at least one " home cocked " dish near the rosted or backed meat and pasta. They've given us each evening a 2 liters botle of water and the coffe was very good. Our room had see vue and was huge and clean. They change towels and sheets every day ( !!! ) The shampoo and the Shower Gel was nice too. On the beach there are so manny sun beds and umbrellas because greck locals people use to come here with their family. The outside pool is clean but too small for so many children... With all of this, it was nice to stay around on the comfortable sun beds. The place is remote and there is NO store arround, so you can't buy nothing there, but there is a little bus very close, near the church ( wich is allways closed) and you can go in Messini in 10 minutes to buy whatever you need to buy. And at the same bus stop in Messini, you can take another bus to go to Kalamata, in 20 minutes. We are very pleased with all at this hotel, I recommend it with confidence.

We were promised 2 pools and both were out of order; likely preparing them for the tourist season. Also, everything extra was expensive; 5 euro *per hour* for bike rentals, 7 euro for an okay breakfast, etc. We didn't complain at all (and we're pretty friendly) but the staff were curt and unfriendly towards us, and didn't offer anything to replace the loss of the pools. Our rooms, at least, were nice. But overall it was very disappointing

Comparing to all previous years, this season (Summer 2021) the overall service at the beach has deteriorated. WC facilities need more attention and care.

The not so good. All inclusive doesn't really include all. Minibar has to be paid extra, same for safe usage. The drinks selection is quite limited. Weddings and other events can take place at the restaurant and will not end at 12.00 o'clock in the night. Noise is not really that disturbing but it's there. Water pressure not always there :). The good. Friendly staff, big rooms with air conditioning working non stop. Food is tasty and pretty diversified. The beach opening with sun beds for guests and shallow sea.

Food is decent as are the prices of snacks, drinks, etc. Also the beach is amazing before 12, after that time it gets really windy and the sea gets REALLY wavy and the pool is better then the majority. The rooms are large and the beds comfy. The negative I could find is the response time of the staff and the bar doesn't have good cocktails. Also the hotel is located in the middle of nowhere so a car is essential.
