★ ★ ★ ★ ★ War eine nette Sage , und zwar würde hier in dieser kleinen Wallgrotte dreimal eine Muttergottesfigur geraubt und sie kehrte immer wieder zurück, zuletzt wurde sie angekettet aber auch das schreckte Diebe nicht ab.Znd ebenso fand sie den Weg zurück. Selbst in der Felswand hoch über der Kirche sieht man einen Schatten der wie eine Muttergottes erscheint...
Was a nice story, and although here in this small wall grotto three times a statue of the Virgin Mary was stolen and she returned again and again, at last she was chained but that did not scare off thieves. And she also found her way back. Even in the rock wall high above the church you can see a shadow that seems like a Madonna ...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Man kann den Weg leider nicht komplett wandern. Wir haben versucht von Kera aus ins Tal zu wandern, sind aber auf halbem Weg nicht mehr weitergekommen: Ende des Weges ohne weitere Hinweise und ein Zaun ohne Tor. Abgesehen davon muss man den Eingang zum Wanderweg in Kera auch ganz genau suchen (vom Dorfplatz den Weg am Wald entlang, dann die Treppe am roten Pfeil nach rechts unten nehmen). Der Weg ist im oberen Teil teilweise zugewachsen.
Unfortunately, you cannot hike the entire path. We tried to hike from Kera into the valley, but we didn't get any further halfway: the end of the path without further information and a fence without a gate. Apart from that, you have to look very carefully for the entrance to the hiking trail in Kera (from the village square along the path along the forest, then take the stairs at the red arrow pointing down to the right). The upper part of the path is partly overgrown.

Der Weg ist mehr als nur steinig! Besser das Auto im nächsten Ort zurücklassen und Zufuß gehen. Lohn sich auch nicht für die Kirche dahin,nur das Gebäude und das war’s!
Do not go there by car.
The path is more than just rocky! Better to leave the car in the next town and go on foot. It's not worth going for the church either, just the building and that's it!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Die Empasa-Schlucht ist recht gut zu gehen, kaum Klettern.
Wer die Empasa-Schlucht in Verbindung mit der in der Nähe liegenden Roza-Schlucht als Rundwanderung plant, sollte unbedingt erst die Roza-Schlucght hoich wandern und anschließend über das Bergdorf Kera die Empasa-Schlucht wieder runter zum Ausgangspunkt gehen. Man kann sein Auto unten im Tal sehr gut abstellen.
Grund für diesen Tipp: der Aufstieg der Roza-Schlucht ist etwas heikel auf einen schnmalen Kletterpfad am Hang. Dies hinab zu gehen würde die meißten überfordern.
The Empasa Gorge is quite easy to walk, hardly any climbing.
Anyone planning the Empasa Gorge in connection with the nearby Roza Gorge as a circular hike should definitely first hike the Roza Schlucght high and then go back down the Empasa Gorge via the mountain village of Kera to the starting point. You can park your car very well down in the valley.
Reason for this tip: the ascent of the Roza Gorge is a bit tricky on a narrow climbing path on the slope. Going down this would be overwhelming most of the time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great little gorge, lots of clambering up and layer down rocks, a bit of wildlife but all to yourself, a couple of challenging climbs and a bit overgrown, but if you don't want that go to one of the gorges full of other tourists, much easier routes
