That looked very interesting from the outside. Unfortunately it was closed in broad morning and it was impossible to find out when it was open.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nedoporučuji vydat se ke klášterům pěšky. Všude v cestě byli pavučiny s dost velkými pavouky. Nakonec jsme to vzdali a ke klášteru nedošli. Snad příště autem. :-))
I do not recommend going to the monasteries on foot. There were cobwebs with large spiders everywhere. Finally, we gave up and did not reach the monastery. Perhaps next by car. :-))

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Βρίσκεται στο βουνό των Σκάρων, πάνω από τη Νικιάνα, χωριό της ανατολικής Λευκάδας. Την τοποθεσία αυτή επέλεξαν για να ασκητεύσουν τρεις από τους Πατέρες που συνόδευαν τον τότε επίσκοπο Αγάθαρχο στην επιστροφή του από την Α΄ Οικουμενική Σύνοδο της Νίκαιας το 325 μΧ.
Είναι χτισμένο σε βράχο ενώ σε διπλανή σπηλιά “κοιμούνται” οι τρεις Πατέρες. Θάφτηκαν στο σπήλαιο που σήμερα είναι ο μικρός ναός και από τον τάφο του ενός αναβλύζει διαρκώς αγίασμα.
Στο ησυχαστήριο ανήκει η «σφραγίδα των Αγίων Πατέρων», μολύβδινη, κυκλική, με χαραγμένες τις τρεις μορφές των Αγίων. Τους τελευταίους αιώνες το μοναστήρι λειτουργούσε ως μετόχι της Ι. Μονής Αγ. Γεωργίου στους Σκάρους, με μοναχές ως το 1978.
It is located on the Skara mountain, above Nikiana, a village in eastern Lefkada. This site was chosen to be occupied by three of the Fathers who accompanied the then Bishop Agatharchus on his return from the First Ecumenical Council of Nicaea in 325 AD.
It is built on a rock while the three Fathers sleep in a cave next to it. They were buried in the cave that today is the small temple and from the tomb of one is constantly bursting holy water.
The secret sanctuary belongs to the "seal of the Holy Fathers", lead, circular, with the three figures of the Saints engraved. During the last centuries the monastery functioned as a successor to the Holy Monastery of Ag. George in Skaros, with nuns until 1978.

In nature and in an idyllic landscape is the old monastery of the Holy Fathers. The absolute silence here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful cave that looks like the roof is held up by a single piece of very old wood. Well worth the walk up from nikiana beach and there is a tap with fresh drinking water to help you on your way. Yes there are spiders and cobwebs occasionally stretching across the road but they are easy to avoid or push out of the way with a stick! The views of the bay below are stunning. You can continue up to the hill above and there is a circular hike around the hilltop to another 2 monasteries. Two thirds of this summit route are on a very pleasant rocky track through the woods marked by occasional splodges of red paint. Beware though it's 5km up 5km round and 5km down so best done early morning or late evening with lots of water.
