The most unprofessional organisation that I have used for car rental. AVOID. When returning a car that had been filled 1.6km from the airport I was told that the was not returned full and that I would have to pay additional charges. Not happy with this, and stating my case the homophobic staff refused to accept that the car was full. I then went with the staff to back to the station and the attenant topped the car up with less than 0.50€cents worth of fuel. Embarrassed that they had been caught out the Hertz staff asked the station staff to rock the car to see if they could get more fuel in. More fuel was spilt than went in the tank. No apology, No shame, No embarrassment, just a normal day trying to fleece customers at the end of a holiday. Google can we give NO stars...

Positive experience with Hertz. Received a peugeot 108 with little superficial damage. This was clearly mentioned on the contract. Afterwards they checked it again (compared it with the contract) and found no additional damage. Staff was friendly and helpful.

First of all, we got a different car than the one we had a reservation for. Second, the car really didn’t have much horse power. Every time we would ride uphill it almost came to a complete stop which was very frustrating. Once we returned the car and acknowledged them with some issues about it, the young lady receptionist became very disrespectful. She rolled her eyes and could not handle the situation. Never again would I book there!

In summary :The WORST car rental agency I've ever experienced. They will do everything to take more of your money and even STEAL some of it. Do NOT rent a car at Herz corfu! Details :the management in Corfu is a total disaster. I took this company because I expected it to be standard across the world (bit like a Starbucks), was a huge mistake. In particular I expected them not to act like schemers. I wished I read the comment and checked the poor score they get on Google maps! At the beginning, they welcome you with a very chilled attitude. They give me another car brand of lower level (despite they claim a Toyota is similar to a Kia!). They also tell nothing expect giving you the key and finding it in the parking yourself. They just told me they are OK and chilled and drive directly. In the second day the car warned me that the tire pressure is to low and after checking in a station it was lower than the car manufacturing specification which is dangerous ! It's a miracle I didn't die! At the end, when I gave the car back a much more strict woman examine all tiny détail and accused me to have created small scratch on the plastic part of back of the car which I am extremely sure I didn't do. They forced me to pay a 120 euro fine but they told me I can fill a form (which I did) to express my disagreement and they will come back to me. After more than 3 weeks they didn't give any answer and they didn't take me 120 euro but more. So they STEAL me money!Anyways the attitude of the staff was extremely pathetic for such a big company to make a huge issue for this tiny scratch of this cheap entry model Korean brand car. I would not recommend this company (at least not in corfu Greece). At least what is certain is that they took me bit more money like a miserable team does but they lost me forever instead of having me spend probably thousands dollars over the years (and all the other friends which I already strongly not recommend this company). I repeat DO NOT RENT A CAR WITH HERZ CORFU! In addition I recommend you to read other comments because I'm not the only one! Not related to me but when I read how they are cheating other customer by pretending they didn't fill the tank when giving back; smelly cars ; no power horse to climb a hill ; rude staff ; unprofessional ;more expensive than competition for poor service ;broken car ; smell and even a case of homophobia!!! I couldn't belive and I am still very shocked of that. Belive me I wrote lot of very good comments during my trip and I'm not the kind of person which complains and is easily unhappy and I m sure that it's same for other users. I will try to tell this case to the headquarters of Herz but I will definitely not spend my time with this pathetic corfu team.

The most rude and unhelpful staff I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Whoever the young lady was on the central desk/ computer at 11.30am local time, on 14/09/21 should be sacked. She was extremely rude to my wife and when we requested to speak to her manager, she refused. We ended up cancelling our hire car and will never be using Hertz again. If I could leave a zero star rating, i would! ........................................................ I'll edit this review in response the Hertz' response. Not only was your staff member rude and unhelpful, but we have found out today that Hertz have charged our credit card over £400 for the car we HAVEN'T leased! Not to worry, as we will simply take this matter up with our credit card company and they can chase Hertz for the money. It always makes me laugh when a company says something like "Oh we haven't had any complaints before of this nature"... as if anyone is going to believe that - seriously guys! You generated 5.26 billion U.S. dollars in revenue for 2020 and none of your many, many customers have complained like this? Out of all the customers coming through Corfu airport, I find it hard to believe that none have complained about service before. If any Google Users doubt what I'm saying here, just read the previous 1 star reviews by other Google users such as: Alberto Filippi, christine lim, Maria Baumbach, radu pastravanu, Elbow Surfshirt, george katsapis, ... and on and on it goes...

Pre-booked and paid for a car to be picked up at Corfu airport. Was grouped in customs and had to queue at Hertz counter for at least 30 mins which was acceptable given it was peak season. However, when it got to our turn, or booking had been cancelled and car had been given away to someone else, likely because they were able to sell it for more. Counter staff not helpful as they are not given the authority to authorize anything such as amendments to bookings or refunds. Same issue when we called helpdesk. We were told we can only email. So all in all, terrible experience as I would have expected more from an larger car rental company. Update: Reservation number: J85525528F3 We have tried emailing customer relations but they weren't much help either. Looking at other recent reviews from other Hertz Corfu location on Google, it looks like others have had the same issue which makes it all the more deplorable that Hertz Corfu is repeatedly scamming their customers. We've booked plenty of cars from other rental car companies in the past and have never been treated this way. Would recommend others go with another company to avoid you from needing to deal with the stress that Hertz Corfu has given us.

I only give one star because I can't give less. Probably the most dreadful experience I have ever had with a car company. Never again. I returned a car on July 16th for which I had paid 200€ and given a 750€ deposit. After 2 1/2 months the deposit is still on hold. I was first told it would take 20 working days, then 30, then I was told my bank is probably responsible for the delay. Shame on you. I want you to know that I am going to write a report and that I will ALWAYS make you a very bad publicity, also to my friends who where also planning to rent a car in Corfu. I'm also going to write about this experience on Facebook and ask to my contacts to share it in order to make it go viral. You deserve it.

One of the worst experiences of any car rental company and disgraceful they are an international company. Extremely rude, would not rent a car that was rented months before and completely paid for. Sent us to another company that charged double for the car rental and now hertz refuses to refund money. Would give zero stars if it was an option My bank has been calling hertz in Greece for three months to try and advocate me for a refund. None of their phone numbers function and no email responses. Once finally through they refused refund for a car that was never rented. Criminals and the tourist police should be involved
