Very nice Monastery. The Holy Monastery of the Transfiguration of the Savior is located in a verdant area next to a deep ravine between the villages of Pyrgetos, Rapsani and Krania. Thick-leaved oaks, age-old plane trees and tall cypress trees are its surrounding decoration. The Holy Temple of the Monastery, the Katholikon, which is celebrated on the great Despotic Feast of Summer, the Transfiguration of the Savior, is a building of the 16th century and according to the prevailing tradition was built by Saint Dionysios on Olympus. Its architecture is described according to the corresponding one of the Holy Monasteries of Mount Athos, that is, a cruciform basilica with a dome. The first icons of the Temple are preserved in its iconostasis, which depict the Lord, the Virgin Mary, the Holy Forerunner, the Divine Transfiguration and the Great Athanasios. All five of these icons were painted in a unique style, which inspires awe and respect for the pious pilgrim. In general, the atmosphere that prevails in this blessed Temple soothes and elevates the praying people.

Agia Sotira for the elders, a big festival of the Savior with people from all three villages Rapsani, Pyrgeto and Krania. Access from a path in the past, I do not know if it is needed anymore.
