J	Jesus Martinez on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Semi-restored monastery in the middle of a national park. The monastery grounds and the church are very interesting. But the surroundings and national forest are superb!!!! Road gets interesting a couple times with all those high angle switchbacks.
i	ido berkovitz on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You can get here by car, which is nice. You have a near by parking. We walked there from the parking near a stream that goes down the mountain. The place is being build up after it was destroyed in the second world war. Today they already have a lovely church.

If you have the time, the short trail thru the Olympus wilderness to the Holy Cave of Saint Dionysius makes for a wonderfully rewarding experience as well :)
P	Paul Dawg on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Unfortunately the monastery was closed due to restoration projects, but our experience was amazing simply because there is a path, around 20 minutes long, inside the forest to a monks tiny monastery cave. It is quite tiresome and I can't say that the little monastery is anything spectacular, but the whole journey is worth it and there is a refreshing little mountain spring at the end of it! There are little signs showing the way and the path isn't confusing so don't worry about getting lost.

Just behind the Monastery two trails start: one (left) to the holy cave, the other one (right) to a nice stream and waterfall.
