s	santa Pirogova on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Its deffinatly not 4 star. Rooms are in need of renovation, our conditioner leaked 3 times beclfore it was fixed. Pool is small and opening hours are not good. Wery ordinary beakfast, the SAME every morning, dinner has more variety
g	george sansom on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ i stay at this hotel all inclusive I say 5 stars for: food, staff and value. is look like a lovely hotel when you first walk in but when I got into the room there was a nice toilet (screechy toilet lid) a big bed for dad but sadly a very hard bed for me luckily the staff changed it and a flat screen tv was in the room:-). shower alright for me but small for fairly large people(like dad) on one night the cleaners left the door open, luckily no one stole any thing. this is not a good place for push chairs as there is only 1 steep slop , very steep, and a small lift so you may need to do a few trips if you have lots of luggage. the beach is close but small and crowded however there is a lot of life in the sea . good location .

The view from the balcony was very sad, basically just other walls of the building, not fit for sitting outside. Location is good, lots of places to get drinks and good bus connections.
B	Beta Kulikovskaya on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ How kitchen manager can destroy your vacation: it was 21:40, I was entering kitchen, to have some food after a long tiring tour to museum in Heraklion and soddenly heard: “Where are you going?”. I turned around, the man looked like a stuff, in classic, with slightly bold head. I got frozen. Im a guest, who bought hotel and food, and i want eat. Man repeated. I said “im going to kitchen”. He said “Its closed. Where are you going?” But there were lots of people! I continued going and he was following me... so you can imagine which kind of service is provided in that place. I won’t be surprised that such treatment if fine to other stuff from that man. Unhappy stuff- bad service. Circle closed. I was complained to the reception about such service on the kitchen and i said:” i was about to recommend this pearl with picturesque buffet view to the sea to my friends, but just one openly rude manager was trying to abuse me for a wish to eat, forgetting im a guest, not his slave”. Yes, i took my trip exactly to this place due to a magnificent view. Thank you, manager, for destroying my vacation.

But, the bathroom in our questroom has not ventilation and the aer become very hot and difficult to breath. On the beach a chair with umbrella cost 10 euro without any drink. I think is very expansive.

Upon arrival we were disappointed as had to pay for a breakfast 10 euro per person since arrived before the check in time. That’s to say we did pay for this first day☹️Breakfast at the Kahkua hotel was twice cheaper and actually better!!! In fact before visiting Crete we couldn’t choose between these two hotels! Although, I didn’t expect great greeting for my birthday but the hotel could have organized at least a piece of cake, since I decided to celebrate there my anniversary! Didn’t use the swimming pool as it’s tiny. Nearby beaches ( like King Scorpio) are a way better .. only sun beds are more expensive. If air con is vital for you then ull be in troubles ?it didn’t work properly. Finally, some pluses : the location is great ( close to the Main Street with pubs&clubs) and rooms were decent. The Golden beach was okay for the payed price, however customer service definitely desires to be a wayyyyyyyyyyy better!!!
