Sissi is a quiet little town and not much to do. The hotelroom is pretty nice. The buffet is not always good but you can order separate dishes (excluded of the all-in) which are very good. Recommend the hotel without the all-in option. Employees are very kind.

The Sissi Bay resort hotel and Spa is a clean and friendly place to stay. Hotel staff are always happy to help and all have great personalities. Plenty of things to do whether it be lazing by the pool, walking along the sea front or having a drink in one of the two bars. Rooms are spacious and have everything you need, my only complaints about them is that the beds are very firm and the air conditioning is a tad on the expensive side, especially when you pay for all inclusive. Food is always fresh and there is something for everyone, there is usually something different for dinner most days. If you don't fancy eating at the hotel, there are plenty of other restaurants within walking distance. All in all I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a reasonably priced relaxing holiday.

We booked the room with garden view but this is actually a room that is adjacent to the road. It's not really busy at the time we went but still it's not what we expected. We booked the room with breakfast and dinner. The breakfast is fine with different preparations of eggs, ham and beans. Also a lot of fresh fruit and Greek yogurt. The dinner was really awful. Fatty meats that just didn't taste good, dry potato wedges and overcooked salmon. The best thing is the salad bar but there isn't much you can go wrong with that. The desserts tasted like everything was made from butter. Not my kind of taste. FYI: if you check in take some cash with you because you have to pay the tourist tax in advance.

Below average experience started from arriving to the hotel. The receptionist was all over him self because there were around 10 people checking in at the same time. We had to wait 1 hour to get the keys and go to the rooms. Now the rooms are not all like the ones in the hotel pictures (read that again), we had a room that is yellow depressing with small bathroom. Utilities at the room barely work, for example hair dryer will take an hour to dry my hair, air conditioner (which you rent by 8 euro per day) is so noisy which is impossible to sleep on, the bed is so hard that give me back pain every time in the morning. We complain to the receptionist and they answer was that we are used to nice beds back at home, how funny. Now when it comes to food, we had half board (breakfast + dinner), we only tried breakfast which was in poor shape and very low quality so we ended up having all meals outside. Obviously i can’t recommend this hotel and I have no idea how it is 4 stars hotel. Seems they are understaffed and cheap. We had great time though at Crete with the nice greek hospitality and great food, just used the hotel for few hours sleep to not ruin our trip.

We stayed here for a week in late-August. The people working for Sissi Bay are very nice and helpful. We ran into some issues (locked ourself out of our apartment and such) during our stay and within minutes there was someone who gladly helped us back into the apartment. The apartments are great considering you probably only sleep in there. We had airconditioning in one room and the bathroom was basic but great. The pools are very nice and the Mare Blue and Tropical Bar were very nice places to have a drink. Around the hotel are a few places where you can hire cars, quads and bikes. There are also two supermarkets really close by. The only thing to watch out for is the food; it's good, but we've experienced that the chicken and fish aren't always as good. Overall we had a great experience!

I was booking 4 stars hotel. Probably this one was 4 stars at the beginning but not now. Looks like it had no proper renovation since it was built. the sea is indeed is in 200 meters from their "main building" but there are big rocks. So the nearest sandy beach is in 2km. the room: a lot of dirty spots on the wall cracked walls the air conditioning is old and when you turn it on smells like old perfume no minibar the fridge is old dirty and noisy the bathroom is not neat the mirror has a lot of dark spots the sink has a mold(fungus) the tap and furniture are in bad condition a lot of mosquitoes because there is no proper window mosquito net entrance to the shower is super narrow in the hotel: some buildings are not finished and everything is badly maintained. the tile in the swimming pool is broken and covered with mold windows in the restaurant are dirty no drinking water the service never bring a new soap no laundry service the gym (in the closed building) with 2 running tracks and 2 exercise bikes is not a real gym. constant renovation noice drinks were not included in dinner summing up: the hotel feels not like a 4 stars hotel but like a budget one

I'm sorry to give this low note, even people working are very helpful, hardworkers and kind, but there are some things you should know before arriving and choosing to stay many days in the hotel. Few points are really needed to have a good holiday. Cleanness should be very good, this mean, washing the curtains often, keeping the mattress clean and with no dust, and provide a nice mattress for you to relax after a year of work. This point is neglected, Tha mattress was hard as a board and it was dirty, so cannot give a good point for the room. The room was "empty" only one bed with to side tables, a fridge, dryhear, one table and a chair. No cups, no tea or coffee, no even something to heat water (I had to go to the reception and ask for one that they give me). So no facilities either. There was an electronic panel just near the front door that made strange noise. Me, I couldn't relax in the room. The only thing that was beautiful was the see view and the balcony. Food is another problem. We don't deserve eating all that industrial food they serve. Not in a country we're you can eat soo well with fresh food. I understand you will say it's for international taste, but international people like to eat well and fresh, not can heated coming from the continent stuff. Even breakfast is not good, the food stay overheated in the platters for hours. So, no nice room, no nice food (maybe in hight season they do fresh fish) one nice pool in the see front. Employees are really nice but this is not enough, managnet should think twice the needs of the clients. This hotel seems to be focused in German costumers. I cannot recommend this hotel. Choose well and have a great holiday.
