Hotel Villa Ilias - Firostefani

The most best thing is staff. They are really helpful and nice. The hotel is in good location and with good view. But it's a bit oldish and pool is too small and you don't see anything from it. Restaurant also has no views, but the food for breakfast was good and fresh. Prices are too high for such hotel.

Beautiful hotel in Firostefani, 15 min walking distance from Fira. We stayed in room 6 which comes with a balcony with breathtaking caldera views. The pool is lovely, and there is a bar to have some drinks. Breakfast was delicious and super fresh. Everything was sanitised, and you need to put gloves and mask to access the breakfast buffer which I think is a great practice. They also arranged our transfer to the hotel when we arrived at the port. And the sunset is just out of this world... Honestly, it was just PERFECT. Thank you Katerina and all the staff!!

Just an incredible experience. We got the cheapest room and it was perfect for our needs. Yes perhaps a bit small and walls were a bit thin and could occasionally hear the noisy neighbor or the wind storm on a particularly windy night (bring earplugs just in case), but honestly nothing beats that view. Other hotels with a Caldera view are almost double the price at least if not more. Don't need to pay exorbitant amounts for the view at restaurants, we brought bottles of wine and enjoyed the sunset right on the communal balcony. Pool was a bit chilly for this time of year but I still jumped in after our hike back from Oia. The breakfast every morning was just INCREDIBLE! Finally a very special thank you to Christina (I hope that is how you spell her name), she was incredibly helpful with suggestions for the island, getting us restaurant reservations and booking us an amazing boat tour, and helping coordinate to get one of our bags lost by our airline. Also thank you to Katerina (again hope we spelled this right), clearly the staff really care about their guests. If you are on a more modest budget for Santorini but still want to be in action in the Caldera view, don't even think twice. This place was so amazing. Thank you again!

Villa Ilias is one of the loveliest places that we have ever stayed! The room was clean, the pool and view fantastic, and breakfast delicious! George at the bar was able to make us some truely magnificent drinks too! But what made our stay special was the friendliness of the people working there!! We really cannot recommend it highly enough!! Thanks so much to everyone who helped make our stay so memorable!

Great place,breathtaking view from the pool,friendly and really helpful staff.George the bartender is a great guy and his cocktails are amazing!!It is located close to the center of Santorini so you can go on foot almost everywhere.Caterina is the heart of Villa Ilias always with a smile on her face,never tired of assisting people and she knows all the cool places on the island,trust her if she recommends you any activities!!! Breakfast is really good and they have a special/surprise dish every day!!! I 100% recommend this place!

If the Superior King Suite is available for your dates and is in your budget, stop reading this review and book it immediately! Not only was this the best hotel staff I've ever come across, but the location of the hotel and the view from the rooftop King Suite is probably the best in all of Fira/Firostefani. The staff were exceptionally helpful in providing recommendations, booking taxis, winery reservations, and anything else we needed - they took the time to walk us through the top tourist attractions, as well as more local recommendations for poolside bars etc. (recommend Jojos in Perivolos). The moment you arrive and get to speak with Katerina, George (front desk) and George (bar), you will know you made the right decision to stay at Villa Ilias. If you're having trouble deciding which town to stay in, I highly recommend Firostefani as it is not right in the middle of the craziness that is Fira, but about a 10 minute walk so you can stay somewhere a bit more quiet that has lots of restaurants but walk to and from the more lively clubs and bars. Villa Ilias is also right at the highest point of Firostefani, and bordering on Imerovigli, so the view is amazing without being the 25 minute walk from Fira. If you plan on going to Fira bars while staying in Imerovigli, plan on a 25+ minute walk uphill after midnight as cabs are hard to find - we met a couple staying in Imerovigli that had to do this several times. I haven't stayed elsewhere in Firostefani/Fira, but the Villa Ilias King Suite has the best view over the entire area and I could not see a place that had a better view. We had the best view of the legendary Caldera sunsets, but also a panoramic view of the back of the island where you can watch the sunrise from a private hot tub! The pool bar was a fun time with the best bartender (George) and a great place to post up and take in the view if you are not staying in the King Suite. There was a very friendly atmosphere with the other guests ranging from quiet sun-soaking to a few cocktails (or shots!) before heading to the bars in Fira. I don't think I've ever given a 10/10 review to a hotel, but I'd give Villa Ilias 11/10 if I could. The only thing I didn't like about my stay at Villa Ilias was leaving!

Amazing hotel with a great location and and outstanding staff. A beautiful view from the room and the breakfast area. Can’t wait to return again.

An amazing spot to stay and the staff are absolutely incredible! The view cannot be beat and I can’t say enough great things about the staff here. My partner lost his bag and they called the airport for us and went above and beyond to make our stay here incredible. Thank you!
