Στις Νηες της Σούρπης λειτούργησε μέχρι τα χρόνια της Επανάστασης του 1821 μετόχι του Παναγίου Τάφου των Ιεροσολύμων. Οι κάτοικοι της γύρω περιοχής, Σούρπης, Πτελεού, Πελασγίας, Βρύναινας, Κωφών, Χαμάκως, Πλατάνου είχαν αφιερώσει σ” αυτό πολλά κτήματά τους, στις περισσότερες περιπτώσεις με μόνη απαίτησή τους να παραμείνουν οι ίδιοι στα κτήματά τους, καλλιεργώντας τα προ όφελος του μετοχίου, με μόνο αντάλλαγμα τη διατροφή τους. Στη δημόσια Βιβλιοθήκη της Δημητσάνας βρίσκεται μέχρι σήμερα ο χειρόγραφος κώδικας με τις αφιερώσεις αυτές. Μεταφέρθηκε εκεί από τον τελευταίο διαχειριστή του μοναστηριού, αποσταλμένο από τον Πανάγιο Τάφο των Ιεροσολύμων, δημητσανίτη μοναχό Παρθένιο Ηλιόπουλο, όταν αυτός μετά την κήρυξη της επανάστασης του 1821, εγκατέλειψε το μετόχι στις Νηες και πήγε στην ιδιαίτερη πατρίδα του, προφανώς για να πάρει μέρος στην απελευθέρωση της Ελλάδας.
The Metohi of the Holy Sepulcher in the Northeastern Sourpi
In the Surips Nuns, until 1821 the Revolution of the Holy Sepulcher of Jerusalem functioned. The inhabitants of the surrounding area, Sourpi, Pteleus, Pelasgia, Vrynaina, Deaf, Hamakos, Platanos, have devoted many of their estates, in most cases with their only claim to remain in their estates by cultivating the benefit of the property, only in exchange for their diet. In the Public Library of Dimitsana, the manuscript code for these dedications is still present. It was moved there from the last monastery administrator, sent from the Holy Sepulcher of Jerusalem, the Dimitris monk, Parthenios Iliopoulos when, after the declaration of the 1821 Revolution, he left the metropolis in the Nines and went to his homeland, apparently to take part in liberation of Greece.
