It is located at the foot of the mountain between large olive groves.
Huge and easy to access parking.
Very friendly and helpful staff.
The monastery is a female and every step of the way is perfectly clean and orderly.
We were pleasantly surprised by the many languages spoken by the nuns.
Calm, beautiful and unforgettable place

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the largest women’s monastery in Greece which is also dependent at the Monastery of SImonopetra in Mount Athos. Excellent traditional architecture of the buildings. The nuns are very friendly, educated, speak fluent English so you can communicate well. They also contribute a lot to the local society as they give for free mamographies in their medical Center a few minutes down the road from the monastery. They produce excellent olives and olive oils so if you visit them do not forget to purchase a few. Also if you are an admirer of Byzantine iconography , do not miss to ask about their icons.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The monastery has amazing - Mount Athos style -services and it is real blessing to be present at. So well organized, hospitality on highest level, and no matter what language you speak, there is someone there who will speak your language. It is international monastery and it's real image of what orthodoxy means! THANK GOD, THEOTOKOS AND OF COURSE THE HOLY ELDER EMILIANOS FOR THIS PRECIOUS MONASTERY!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sisters are very friendly you can chat with them in the open space because od COVID, but also you can visit their shop full of organic product of olives which they pick by themselves. Very holy and sacred place, in the Sithonia, my favourite destination in Greece. Near beaches, near other places at Sithonia, by car just aprox 15 minutes from town Nikiti and near place called Ormylia also. We loved this huge place around monastery and donated in church. Please wear masks when near sisters, lets protect them. They speak english and are very very educated and cheerfull. Love their life! At the end od September there were plenty of tourists there in the Sunday morning (11am)! :-) even with very little children. Weather beautiful as well.
