Βρίσκεται κοντά στο κέντρο του Βόλου. Κάθε Κυριακή γίνεται Θεία Λειτουργία καθώς και μετά το Πάσχα 40ημερο σαρανταλείτουργο. Επίσης πρόσφατα εγκαινιάστηκε κέντρο δημιουργικής απασχόλησης παιδιών όπου γονείς και κηδεμόνες θα μπορούν να αφήνουν τα παιδιά τους μετά το πέρας της Θείας Λειτουργίας αλλά και άλλες μέρες εκτός Κυριακής. Ι	ΙΩΑΝΝΗΣ ΒΑΡΑΛΗΣ on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Εκεί που σημερα είναι η Ανάληψη ήταν κάποτε το νεκροταφείο του Βόλου. Ναι, μιλάμε για το 1870. Με την ανάπτυξη της πόλης τα σπίτια σιγά σιγά αρχίζουν να χτίζονται όλο και πιό βόρια έτσι που τελικά ο δήμος το μετέφερε στον Ξηρόκαμπο. ΄Ετσι αρχίζει η ιστορία της συνοικίας Αναλήψεως. Οι κάτοικοι ζητούν από τον τότε μητροπολίτη Γρηγόριο να φτιαξουν εκκλησία. Αυτός αρχικά αρνείται, άγνωστο για ποιους λόγους. Τελικά πείθεται υπό την πίεση των κατοίκων που στο τέλος του 1896 χτίζουν ένα μικρό ξύλινο παράπηγμα. Στην αρχή η ιδέα ήταν να χρησιμοποιηθεί το όνομα Άγιος Γεώργιος – που γιορτάζει την Άνοιξη – άρα όπως σκέφτονταν τότε το πανηγύρι θα είναι μεγάλο. Μετά έπεσε η ιδέα της Ανάληψης γιατί σ΄αυτή τη γιορτή οι κάτοικοι του Άνω Βόλου και του κάμπου κατεβαίναν προς την θάλασσα – ίσως για να πιάσουν την πέτρα την μαλλιαρή κατά το έθιμο που μας υπενθύμησε η εκλεκτή φίλη Έλενα Π. χτές. Έτσι χρησιμοποιούν μια εικόνα της Ανάληψης που είχε ζωγραφίσει ο γνωστός φωτογράφος και αγιογράφος Στέφανος Στουρνάρας και η εκκλησία ονομάζεται Ανάληψη. Αυτό το ξύλινο παράπηγμα χρησιμοποιείται μέχρι τα 1900(?) οπότε χτίζεται και ο καινούργιος ναός . Στην φωτογραφία του Κ. Ζημέρη από την συλλογή του ΔΗ.Κ.Ι. φαίνεται η εκκλησία με κόσμο μαζεμένο απ΄έξω. Μας υπεδείχθει ότι μάλλον είναι η γιορτή του Αγίου Μοδέστου, προστατου των ζώων, ημέρα κατα την οποία οι καραγωγεις του Βόλου τελουσαν στην Ανάληψη γιορτή με αρτοκλασια. Η παρουσία τόσων καβαλάρηδων στο προαύλιο της εκκλησίας επιβεβαιώνει αυτή την εκδοχή. Η εποχή είναι γύρω στα 1920. Τα χρόνια θα περάσουν και οι σεισμοί του 55 θα επιφέρουν ανεπανόρθωτες ζημιές και στην Aνάληψη. Την θέση της παλιάς μεγάλης εκκλησίας πέρνει ένα ξύλινο παράπηγμα. Το 1962 επί Δαμασκηνού μπαίνει ο θεμέλιος λίθος για την καινούργια εκκλησία. Αλλά η ολοκλήρωση του έργου κρατάει έως το 1975 οπότε και εγκαινιαζεται ο σημερινός ναός. Αυτή είναι η ιστορία της εκκλησίας της Ανάληψης, από όπου πήρε και το όνομα της η συνοικία. Γιατί “Ανάληψη” ακούγεται καλύτερα από “Βάβουλα”, ή “Κομμένα Χώματα” όπως η περιοχή αποκαλούνταν. D	Dr. Vape on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Προσωπικά δεν μου άρεσε το ταμπελάκι με τις τιμές στα κεριά και ο μπαμπούλας που στεκόταν από πάνω... Προσωπική μου εμπειρία και προσωπική μου παραξενιά βέβαια.. αλλά πιστεύω προς την πίστη ο καθένας διαθέτει ότι μπορεί! Ασχέτως το τι δίνει ο καθένας κάποιοι Βάζουνε παραπάνω κάποιοι ότι μπορούν.... Κατά τα άλλα όλα καλά! Θα έβαζα 5 αστέρια.. αλλά δεν το έχω συναντήσει πουθενά αυτό.. Δεν ξέρω ίσως στο Βόλο να είναι έτσι η εκκλησίες... e	evangelos ragkos on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ωραίος ναός, καθαρός με άνετα καθίσματα και χώρους. Αγιογραφίες σχεδόν στο μεγαλύτερο μέρος των τοίχων. Έχει πάνω διάζωμα με αρκετές καρέκλες. Μεγάλος προαύλιος για παιδιά, για ξεκούραση αλλά και για κετερινγκ βάφτισης ή γάμων. Υπάρχει στο πίσω μέρος μία όμορφη αλλά πολύ μικρή παιδική χαρά. Nice temple, clean with comfortable seats and spaces. Hagiographies on most of the walls. It has a top decoration with several chairs. Large courtyard for children, for rest but also for christening or wedding catering. There is a beautiful but very small playground at the back.
