β β β β β It was our first night in Crete. Beautiful spot in peaceful village and the promise of some R&B music. Very warm greeting on arrival, nothing too much trouble. Menu looked good and very reasonably priced and on ordering was promised cooking your mama would do you and lots of. Sadly this was no other delivered upon. Portions were on the smaller side and sadly much of the meat was overcooked. I suspect due to the fact they had a large British ex pat gathering to support an English band and so food volumes were high. The local draught beer was excellent but wine was clearly watered down. As for the band. Oh my God. I work for a music organisation and I can only say one thing. They were tone deaf. So we finished our drinks and headed back to our quiet villa. Not the authentic Greek experience I was hoping for but that said take the back D away and large group of ex pats and I am sure it would be better.

β β β β β This was a beautiful little Greek taverna, authentic atmosphere, authentic food. It was such a nice place to be, especially the night they had the band playing Greek music. The food was so delicious and reasonably priced. The staff were lovely and the service was excellent.

β β β β β Complete mistake...fish stew appeared to be a complete fish with 3 potatoes. Mr. Ioannis couldn't even say which fish it was (from a local guy...). Fish was nevertheless good. Did forget our wine (to occupied with the local friends) but charged it. Nothing about the bill was correct anyway. There are by far better options on the Apokoronas. We come to the island since 1998 but this was bottom top 3 !
