Iris Hotel - Οδός Ολυμπίας

The place is good,very near to airport which is good for a layover, the catch that it is far from restaurants,and the place do serve only breakfast,but not dinner! It will be hard to eat if you arrive late unless you navigate your way within greek-language delivery apps. The rooms are clean and the staff is very friendly and welcoming.

If there is one Hotel that deserves a good mention, it is the Iris. This place may not look like much from the outside, but it is more than definitely worth its weight in Gold. On a recent visit to Salonika from Australia, my per-booked accommodation fell through on rather short notice where I was basically left on the street almost. On short notice, this small hotel accommodated my needs without question or hesitation and had a room instantly when I needed it. Their pricing is worth three times in the service they delivered for me while I was there for basically seven days. Sir this Sir that, there was nothing nicer than being greeted by staff with such a warm professional manner and walking into a freshly done room every time I opened the door when I would get back from exploring the sites all day. The room was always warm and welcoming that I did not want to go back to my other pre organised accommodation. It almost felt like home. The counter staff treated me like Royalty on every entry and exit from the Hotel, that wonderful buffet lady made me fresh omelettes every morning and never hesitated asking me if there was anything I needed, to just always ask. This was no ordinary small Hotel to me. My hat off to all the staff here Very affordable and the level of service they delivered while in Greece was exceptional. If there is one wonderful memory I have of my visit to Salonika, it is this Hotel. You will not be disappointed. Thank you so much to the wonderful staff at the Iris when I genuinely needed you. You got me out of trouble fast and treated me like family. Something I don't often experience anywhere else. I will definitely visit again when I hop back into Salonika on my next visit. Adequate but without much character. They offer breakfast but don't have a kitchen for other meals. The delivery options they propose from the Thermi area were not particularly good. Proximity to airport an advantage.

A very nice hotel in Thessaloniki. Only 10 minutes from the airport by taxi and very close to a few car rental agencies. The hotel is quite and offers a rich breakfast that was very tasty. Also, the staff is very polite and helpful. Plenty of parking places. The hotel is clean and well maintained. I would like to mention the stairs in front of the hotel that were very slippery during the rain.

It was hot ? like hell.  Air conditioning in the rooms appeared on the website.  The Air condition did not work at all.  The receptionist pretended to be trying to turn on the air condition, saying no other tourist had complained.  It was a lie.  At breakfast all the tourists said they did not sleep at night.  The room is full of mosquitoes.  The scent diffused the whole room but the mosquitoes were not impressed.  There is no water pressure in the shower.  A gentle trickle of water alternates between cold and hot. Stay away from this hotel.
