The labyrinth is great to walk. You can't really see a castle as such, but the little streets around it are filled with photo opportunities and shops.

The castle (or “kastro” in Greek) was built on ancient acropolis remains and you can see it from the port. It was built by conqueror Sanoudos. Visiting the castle, you will see old mansions with their coat of arms (due to Venetian residents). In the square with the Catholic Cathedral, in the center of the castle, you can see the ruins of the tower Sanoudos lived. You will also see Ursuline nuns school, Kappela Kazatza and the Archaeological museum. Worth mentioning the port and Portara view from there... on your way up, you will walk through narrow pathways filled with shops. Great for photography (especially at afternoon)

Beautiful castle and ruins with little boutique shops and restaurants throughout. We didn't do the trip but did manage to get lost at night up there...creepy but amazing!

There isn’t a “castle” per se but it is the grounds of the castle repurposed into the village of Naxos. The area and shops are the best on the island and this area was the best food we had as well. Give yourself time to wander the stairs and corridors and enjoy it. Note most shops close from 1:30-5:00 or around there. The top of the castle has a currently active church, museum, cafe with amazing views, jewelry and some cool shops with local artisans.

A hidden castle amongst the shops. This attraction can be found upon entering the port and continuing past the "Old Market" area. You may have to ask some owners, but it is well worth traversing the Naxian Labyrinth to explore.

Greaaaaaat place with an incredible view! It is far from the main port (Marina), like 1 hour with the quad, but the road view is awesome and the city is really beautiful. The castle is a very peaceful place and the locals are very lovely. That was this old man that told us very funny stories and received us very well. Totally recommend, but, again, it is far from the city center, so I recommend renting some kind of vehicle

Amazing. The castle is surrounded by a market with hundreds of small shop, cafes and restaurants along all the different alley ways. You can spend hours exploring. It is so romantic. Also the views from the top of the castle are absolutely stunning.

Not fully restored, the castle is truly an authentic witness to centuries past. The passage ways, winding paths, low arches and stone walls are beautiful. Many local people have made their homes along the castle ramparts. Tiny alcoves dot the long climb up to the top where the view is spectacular. A small but well preserved Catholic church guards the tiny square near the pinnacle. Definitely worth a beautiful walk, especially to see the art galleries along the way, and sip cool drinks in a Greek café.
