Kafieris View - 84700 Firostefani

Outstanding view, but that is my only positive feedback. The room was far too small for a double and looked nothing like the advertised pictures. There was insufficient room to open suitcases, the electric points were faulty, the shower required considerable updating and the smell from the bathroom drain was dreadful. I note other reviews of the service is predominantly positive. That was not our experience. The hotel manager, Pavlos, initially welcomes you in friendly way. He is engaging and promotes the features of the island in a humorous way as he highlights “places to see and things to do” on a map that he provides. He also recommends the companies to use for tours. Undoubtedly he has a deal with them. However, the moment you raise an issue, he becomes dismissive and rude. He even goes as far as telling you ‘’there is the door if you don’t like it”. That is after he has your credit card! I was disgusted that the hotel imposed an additional night’s charge for “soiled linen” against my credit card with no contact beforehand. I asked the hotel for evidence, and after three requests, the hotel manager sent pictures of a bed from a different room. The hotel ignored subsequent contact attempts to challenge the additional charge. There is total disregards for customer service and hospitality, knowing that the hands of overseas visitors are tied. Look elsewhere and …manage you credit card carefully. Kafieris was a very disappointing experience for us.

Perfect place to stay in Fira&Firostefani. Cosy rooms with balcony, we had view on Fira and it was fantastic. Breakfast are fabulous and the hotel has share terrace with small pool on rooftop with 360° view. The rooms and bathroom are small, but for us it was enough and worth the price. My recomendation!

Perfect choice in Santorini. Not only the hotel is a very good choice, but I think Firostefani is also the best area to stay on the caldera; it is close enough to Fira to go there by a wonderful walking g path on the shore, but far enough not to be disturbed by the crowed. The room in itself was tiny, but had everything you need, especially a balcony to have an unforgettable breakfast with a view. (The breakfast in itself is also wonderful) We preferred to watch the sunset quietly from the rooftop instead of the busy Oia, and we didn't regret it. Everything had been efficiently organise for our late check-in, and we've been warmly welcomed with very nice suggestions. Don't miss the Aktaion restaurant closeby; one of the best I tried during my stay in Greece.

Nicely located uphill right at the capital of Santorini, very friendly and helpful staffs; we had an amazing view of the caldera and aegean sea from our balcony of the sea-view room, nice breakfast in-room, further option of a nice jacuzzi at the rooftop with breathtaking view. only con: narrow bathroom. Overall fair option at a fair price. Truly recommend.

We loved our stay at Kafieris View! The location was perfect - a quick, picturesque 10 minute walk to the center of Fira. The rooftop was incredible! Some of my favorite pictures of Santorini were taken there. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. Every morning, we had a huge, delicious and freshly cooked breakfast delivered to our room. The perfect way to wake up was eating breakfast on our little balcony watching the sunrise. Nikolas was an amazing host! He was always willing to offer advice and the best recommendations in Santorini. He made our stay so enjoyable. We truly loved staying at this hotel! We are already planning our return trip!

Amazing Hospitality Nikos and Aldo are the best...!!! They can do the best to have amazing holidays in Santorini. Great English-speaking from both and super smiling all the way. The location of this small hotel is great and the view is out of this world I'll definitely come again

Couldn’t have picked a better place!! Staying at this hotel was one of the best parts of Santorini. Nikos was extremely helpful, so welcoming and always with such a positive attitude and kindness. The hotel staff sure knows what hospitality and customer service is. We had a family suite, all very comfortable and love that they bring breakfast to you when you choose. The views here are incredible! The location is wonderful, far away from the Busy crowds but close enough you get to enjoy a nice walk with tons of views. I will be back to Santorini and will most definitely book again here!

This has probably been one of the best hotels I've ever been to. I had a double room with a panoramic view over the caldera. You were able to see the whole island, the other small islands, the cliff, the sea...and all that from your own balcony. The breakfast is great, they bring you sweet and savory option directly to the room and the portions are big. The owner Nikos is a gem - very friendly and attentive, always there if you have a problem, and he gives you recommendations for places to see around the island. I do actually think Firostefani is the best place to stay in Santorini, as it is quite central but not as busy as Fira. On the rooftop there is a small pool, which is more than enough for some relaxation of a hot day. One thing to be aware of: the water that comes out of the tap is saltwater, I had to learn the hard way after making a tea. There is a fridge in the room and a desk, which is great. On the balcony you have a drying rack. Only thing I have to add is that the hotel is a bit hard to find. But now that I know, I'd consider coming back again!
