Great view!!!!!! Worth the trip up. The refuge center is nice as well, but a little old. Not a five star hotel. It has some bunk beds in three rooms, Maybe four rooms. It has a bathroom and showers as well as a small kitchen and dining room area. You can access it by two different trails by foot or off road vehicle. Don't try in a car, the car will die. The five stars are for the view. The refuge will keep you warm in the winter but it's hard to get to and a little old. Found some Great people and a dog there but not sure if they work there or not.

Beautiful place with awesome view! The host was very kind to us and the food (and the Raki) was amazing! But: bring your own water, it's expensive up there!

Beautiful place with lovely hikes all around. Christoforos was a wonderful help! We loved it and the food was really good!!

Unbelievable view... a perfectly calm place to be and crossroad to the major paths to the mountains. The host, Christoforos will make sure you have a nice meal, a comfortable stay and a perfect time in nature.

The refuge was closed on 3.9. without clear information on their web nor fB or their door that they are completelly closed. So we hiked up expecting to get some food and beverage and were unpleasantly surprised. At least the view was worth the hike. I would reccomend to make it clear on your web that the refuge is closed (not just for visits and stay overs but also for buying food or drinks) to avoid any confusion. Thank you

Not recommended The place is very rundown, seems that no maintenance was done there for many years. Was dirty. especially the toilet and shower, but also the room wasn't so clean. Limited hot water in the shower, which is not nice after a long hike. You need to pay extra for linen, which is fair, but what you get is only some sort of "sleeping bag" that is being used as a bedsheet and a blanket, but it has many holes, it's too small, not enough to cover the body, which is especially unpleasant since the bed isn't clean. Dinner, which is included in the price, was OK, but doesn't include any drinks, not even water, and your only option is to buy overpriced drinks. Even water is too expensive, and you can't drink the tap water. Breakfast - also included in the price, was very poor - only not fresh bread together with the cheapest jam and butter that you can find, and a cup of tea / coffee. The general feeling there is that they are trying to give you as less as , possible for what you paid. The only good thing about the place is the location in the mountains and the amazing view. However, not worth it, especially that the village of Omalos is just 4km away - so better to stay there.
