Fish Tavern - Fish Tavern

Only had drinks here. Waiter was very friendly when we considered to sit here, but once we wanted to pay that disappeared. I preferred paying by card, but unfortunately he had seen some cash money in my wallet and now he tried to convince us to pay by cash. I refused, as that cash money was reserved for something else. He kept insisting. Finally, I could go inside to pay by card, but “suddenly” the machine didn’t work. I kept insisting to try again (luckily I get a notification on my phone when money is written off, so I kept an eye on that). Finally, the fourth time it worked, but the waiter was still very rude and didn’t say anything to us anymore when we left.

Disgusting place avoid at all cost. Food served well under cooked - Jimbo grilled shrimps came were served RAW after 30 min of wait!!!! Also over 30 mins wait for greek salad. No water served to the table.

Stuff was nice, BUT unlike in all the other taverns, we had to pay 2euros for 4 slices of bread we did NOT order, we did NOT recieve raki at the end of the meal nor some fruit, like we always did im other taverns. Quality of the food was average when compared to the prices. They charged us more than written in the menu. I would say- you are paying just for the view here.

By far the worst food we had on Crete. All dishes were tasteless and appeared heated up rather than freshly made. Go there for the view, maybe have a beverage but do yourself a favor and don't eat there.

Average food compared to higher prices, no raki nor fruit at the end like in other taverns, service was also quite average, the only great thing is the location. Also! They were quite mean to stray cats hanging around the restaurant, and those cuties made our stay at the restaurant significantly better

It's a wonderful place near the sea(you may not only enjoy delicious dishes there but also nice views around you). Waiters are very kind, communicative and ready to help. Worth visiting!

Worst place ever. Guy in from of restaurant told us long story how everything is home made: mama cuts potatoes every morning, tomatoes come from their farm, portions are large and food is outstanding. We had a seat at the table and here is the reality. Once we place our order they forgot about us( Greek salad, musaka, lamb chops, grilled jumbo shrimp). 25 minutes later still no water at the table, No bread, no food-nothing. While we wait beggars are walking around tables playing disturbing music and asking for money. I had to call a waiter and remind him about our order ( why this is taking so long, at least we should already have salad) 10 minutes later they gave us salad and grilled shrimps. Shrimps were raw, literally when I pull it apart and had a bite I immediately had to spit it out as it was completely raw- this was simply disgusting. I called waiter but he didn't seem to see any problem in this and offered to go back to kitchen and grill it some more.... I guess for another 30 minutes because this whole situation was completely absurd at that point. We simply got up and walked away. Btw portions were small : salad and shrimps - don't know about other orders as we never got a chance to see it- I assume it would have been a disappointment as well. free wifi is a lie-simply does not exist. Walking down the street not more than 5 minutes we found another seafood restaurant across from fresh fish market and decided to give it a try. I explained to host our bad experience at other restaurants and he reassured me that he will take care of us. We had great lunch there (placed exactly same orders) salad came in 5 minutes after order was placed followed by shrimps and the rest in 15 minutes. Food was great, and we had lovely conversation with our host.

Very nice View and good food with affordable prices. Service was very nice as well. It was also not a problem when asking for some more Tzatziki. I can recommend this place.
