This place was part of an old monastery complex. It is made of stone (which is visible also from inside) with wooden roof (inside). The rooms are very warm in terms of atmosphere. The stuff is welcoming, very kind and helpful. Every morning they serve a magnificent breakfast from their own produced goods (eggs, olives, oranges, tomatoes etc). This place has an original taste of Monemvasia's old character that needs to be preserved. Giannis Ritsos, one of the greatest greek poets was born in this very building.

Licated at the margin of Monemvasia's old town, this guesthouse of a former nursery home, is a lovely place for a picturesque escape. The room is traditionally decorated with all the windows facing Myrtoo sea. The internal yard offers relaxation, being a great spot for star gazing over the night. The breakfast is rich and tasty at a beautiful terrace. The staff is discreet and well trained. On the negative side, the blind bathroom with an unpleasant odor of moisture and the bad quality of mattress. Overall a good stay.

An amazing place, in the quiet part of the town. The host is as every host should be. Polite, friendly, ready to support you with every request and with the urge to share the story of the place with you.

Clean friendly, beautiful place. The hotel was an old stone building and the inside was beautiful as well. It was the birthplace of the famous Greek poet GIANNI Ritzos. Not sure of the spelling. There will soon be a museum there to share his accomplishments. In each of the corners of the courtyard there is a plaque with a quote from the poet. They are in Greek so you can have one of the staff translate them for you. We only stayed one night but would enjoy an extra day because you for sure feel recharged. The place is like going back in time. What a great getaway and not terribly far from Athens. One more thing you get a discount at the wine cellar in the town because family owned.

Stayed here for two days and loved every second of it! The staff was so friendly, helpful and chatty. The rooms were really unique (loved the bed, which is always very important for me), as it's an old monastery. The breakfast: wow. Sooo much food and everything was SO tasty. Especially the scrambled eggs and the homemade cake, would love to have that for breakfast every day. Definitely the best place to stay if you're in Monemvassia. Thanks for a great stay!

I can totally recommend to stay here during a visit in Monemvasia. We had a very warm welcome and the rooms are beautifully furnished. The service was really good and the breakfast they serve in the morning is a great variation and very filling. In general the hotel has a very relaxing atmosphere.
