Rude, unhelpful personnel. Two, who I asked, didn’t wear a mask while talking to customers.

First: Chania is a wonderful city, especially the haven is like in heaven, visit the maritime museum, it's made with love, now to the bus-station after a chilled day in chania: The stuff is very unfriendly and incompetent, the female Advisor from the bus line 6 to Rethimno on the 29. of August at 17:30 stopped all customers without telling any reason, made a big chaos, all the people were very angry of no obviously system to check in to the bus, the people were afraid not to get a place in the bus. She did also not tell, that another bus was going to pick up the rest of the passengers, if the first bus was full, this girl has definately the wrong job, she made a big chaos without any reason and frustated the passengers. That killed the Chilled (Day), that's a shame and completely unnecessary, a training in behavior for the stuff would be needful.

Great bus station for Intercity transportation. Features a convenient store and a great little self service restaurant with outside tables and climate controlled inside once. They have as well a classic Hellenic hot holding station for hot foods. Reasonable prices, all recently renovated. Your typical bum you see at any larger transportation hub you might see here too. Yet the area seams very safe and clean. There are many monitors for departures, the busses are modern & prices are fair. Vegetarians try the vegetable wrap & a plate of Dolmadakias - that is if you are really hungry.

Free bathrooms, nice informative staff who spoke good English, easy to find and access, comfortable buses with lots of seats? Yes please. Their bus to go to the Samaria Gorge was fantastic - just show up early in the morning and tell them you are hiking the Samaria Gorge and they will give you a round trip ticket. Wait for your air conditioned bus and get on with all of the other hikers and go straight there. Once you are done the hike, find the ferry ticket booth and buy yourself a ticket to where the bus round trip ticket is (they will know exactly what you mean). And have a great hike!

Buses are always on time! Friendly staff, there’s a newsstand and a restaurant/cafe (ask for their chickpea soup “revythia”! Salads are already made covered in plastic so avoid that, the rest is low priced and decent), there’s also for €3/day a 24/7 locker facility good for a big backpack and some bags, toilets are not award winning but good enough for a quick relief. There's a frequent connection to the airport/port. Consuming food in the buses is not allowed, seats may be numbered but in reality sit wherever you like.
