★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great Central location on Crete and very reasonably priced. It is also nice and quiet and set far enough away from the main tourist traps. There are bars, restaurants and a carrefour supermarket within walking distance in Gournes and is only around a fifteen minute drive from Heraklion Airport. The beaches nearby and along most of the North shore of the island are usually close to the main road and in the landing path for the airport and often packed full with droves of sun seeking beer swilling rabble so I would advise traveling to the south of the island by car if you wish to find peace and quiet . The hotel rooms themselves are fairly basic.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The worst place we sleep in Crete, to be precise I barely sleept. The restaurant next to the apartments made a live folk music, probably they do it every day, until 23.30 at full volume. I know is not their fault, neither that we had to take a plane at 4am, but the music, dogs barking, the missing remote from A.C. (we didn't ask for it because it was late) and mosquitos, compared to every single place had been in Crete made it really bad.
The manager was nice, the apartment clean and spacious, none of the above was their fault and I'm sorry for them. But we sleep minutes.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The apartment was beautiful, clean with plenty of room, storage and beautiful views from roof top veranda. The location was very close to the sea front and many tavernas and beach front cafes and bars. The service at Kri Kri was second to none. George and Jenny who run it are superb hosts. They attend to every need and more. We felt like family. The pool was lovely and the evenings at the bar were great.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not only was the host incredibly helpful, kind and hard-working by keeping the „village“ in a perfect condition but he also was such a happy and wonderful person to be around! The place literally looked like paradise ? I would recommend everyone to check it out

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great hotel , extremely well priced in a lovely coastal position .
The rooms are large , well looked after and have everything you need. The grounds surrounding the apartments are very well tended to and the poolside bar is great to sit out at in the evening.
George the host is very welcoming and friendly and really made the time spent at the hotel a pleasure .
Would definitely recommend this hotel , and all being well I hope to return next year .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A very beautiful place with a huge garden and a lovely pool. The sea is near to the place we can hear sometimes the noise of the waves. The room is nice but it would be better to have a little more tools in the kitchen like a cleaning sponge with some washing liquid.
The staff is very helpful and friendly.
