Poor food presentation. Overpriced garbage.
The beef stew had less flavour than a plate of sand, and the orange and honey chicken was something straight out of a horror film...it looked and tasted like glorified hospital food for recovering covid patients who lost their sense of taste and smell. To add insult to injury, the server sat in a corner (a few tables away) with a friend drinking beer the entire time and acted personally offended that we asked why the Greek house rose was 20€. It was as if we had questioned the water quality at the fountain of youth. This place is getting by only on the reputation it established decades ago. If the original owners visited today, they would surely be appalled. STAY. AWAY.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice and attentive personnel. They saw us wondering hungry around, and basically adopted us. Even after breakfast hours they made us an outstanding omelette and toast. Very warm people!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the oldest restaurants in Athens. Full of nooks and crannies and interesting artifacts and art work. Many famous composers have spent time here. Food, service and atmosphere a must to experience when visiting the Capital.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Quality on the menu, bad in the plate. For the avaible meal. We've been there a Saturday evening and they didn't had any good meat... The hot Camembert and the feta were not leaking, the salad looked like they were waiting for 3days already and the cold meat plate was more a school party one than anything I never had in any restaurant. The Parmesan Tortelinni had... No Parmesan but emmental! I'll say nothing about the bill that was unexpectedly higher than what's writed on the menu because of some obscure reason.

On top of that, nicely cooked dishes and fast, polite service.
The variety of cooked meals is limited; understandable during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Of course, good things don't come cheap…
