★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a family run hotel, its run by an old married couple. The rooms are clean and is equipped with air conditioning, a small kitchen and tv. The bathroom is very clean and up to date. Some of the rooms/appartments has a balcony with an oceanview. The hotel is located only two minutes from the beach and from all the nice restaurants and cafes. Try Elia & Thyme, a restaurant owned by the same family. This is a must try in Almyrida.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Maiandros offers very nice vacation apartments The pictures and maps are deceiving, as it looks farther from the beach than it is. It's only about 250 feet, or 80 meters, to the sand from the hotel, as estimated from our balcony overlooking the water. As seems to be the case when booking through Priceline, the website allows you to input the number of adults traveling, but not children, and then states that children are welcome at no additional cost. Our room had two small twin beds and very little room for a portable bed, which they did make room for. The TV was decent, offering 13 Greek channels. The air conditioning worked well, and the Wi-Fi was very good. The bathroom was a touch on the small side, but the room was very clean. What disappointed me most was, after staying seven days, I was told they didn't accept credit cards, which left me running to Chania to find a place to change money. Other than that, a very nice place to stay.
