It‘s one of the nicest and best tavernas in Northern Kreta. No menu, it‘s greek food and it is amazing. Plan to stay at least 1-2 hours here because there will be wine. The location is so comfy and cozy, it‘s quiet, no traffic and an amazing view to the mountains.

We had a fantastic traditional greek breakfast here today. The owner is very friendly and the olive oil he serves with the food is from his own plantation. It was very cosy with many flowers and trees in bloom around us and the cats chilling nearby. Definitely worth of recommendation.

Very friendly family owned tavern! I was staying at a villa nearby by myself with my dog & I decided to walk down & eat here at night. They are very friendly & although I was in a foreign country as a woman coming to eat alone & have some drinks after sun down, I did not feel any sort of anxiety or fear. The food is delicious & I can never complain about an ice cold Mythos :) Ευχαριστώ πολύ !

Maybe one of the best traditional Taverns in Crete. Food was perfect and hospitality was really great. We would come back everytime. Only thing you should know is that it is in a very small village not in walking distance, there is no menu, the chief decides what is on the plan.

No menu, they have 5/6 things and you just pick from it which I quite liked. The food was nice and flavoursome. I had the green beans and zucchini to start and lamb in tomato sauce and chips for main. They’re both great but tiny bit too oily for me. The most annoying thing was because there was no menu, I was told that it was €11 for both which is fine. But when I came to pay they charged me €14 and when I asked what the €3 and they didn’t have an answer. I would have left a tip willingly but it was just the sneaky way they went about it that was a bit odd. Service is nice from the man though, he was very lovely.

Fantastic, friendly service. Our meal was gently “suggested” to us and we didn’t have any regrets…salad with incredible cheese, amazing beans, the most delicate meatballs I’ve ever eaten, and potatoes and pork which was tasty but too much! Housemade raki as digestif…worth the drive for sure.

Nice little tavern where mainly the villagers meet. Very warm welcome with a handshake from Kostas, the host. We immediately felt like we had arrived and were accepted into the group. Very nice, wonderful genuine hospitality. There is no menu but what garden, yard and neighborhood have to offer on the day. Everything is very likely to come from the village, Kostas tells at the table what he might make today. We decided on a delicious Greek salad with excellent olive oil and homemade feta cheese. This was accompanied by fried courgette cheese balls and green beans, both very tasty. For the main course, we had grilled lamb and chicken with wonderful roasted flavors served with homemade chips. Our last evening in Crete could not have been better. Kalinichta and see you next time.

Beautiful place to stop at and eat. Great food indeed. Very tasty. Friendly owner. They don’t have a menu but the owner explains what they have and you choose. Really nice guy. Only about 6 tables but that’s what made it all the better.
