Minos Palace hotel & suites - Ammoudiou

Amazing hotel if you want to feel in paradise! We stayed at one of the infinity blue rooms.. and the views were perfect! The staff at the hotel was very kind and I want to mention especially Marina from the guest relations team, as she helped to organise a wedding proposal in the best spot of the hotel with views to the Mirabello bay! She also helped getting a photographer to record thus memorable moment! I cannot thanks her enough for all she did for us! We had an unforgettable evening I would also mentioned that restaurants at the hotel and good and we enjoyed some dinners there. Also the Spa massages were brilliant!

Room for improvement Beautiful hotel, especially the main pool, the beach with the different plateaus for sun bathing and the walking path along the cliff. I loved our room and our shared pool, however our room was left to the reception area and the pool bar- some nights music was extremely loud and guest were extremely loud (if I wanted party vacation I would go to Mallorca/Ibiza) A door that keeps some noise away from that corridor would be good. Also I have never slept on a mattress that was so hard in my life. The shower/bathtub was so narrow, I don‘t know how bigger people are able to shower. Our shared pool was great but unfortunately we had completely black/blue feet, either because the colour is coming off or because it was so dirty. We also felt the dinner buffet was always the same, no special evenings, every night just other versions of the same food, for example every night 2 types of pasta slightly different sauce/vegetables, 2 types of meat stews, everyday strawberry, vanilla and chocolate ice cream. The beach restaurant is beautiful, but the food was not at all to our taste. Overall we loved the facilities but there is potential for improvement. All the employees were extremely nice! Thank you to them.

We’ve spent our honeymoon in Minos. We had junior suite with private pool, waking up every morning to a sunrise? hotel has impressive views from basically anywhere you stand. Few highlights- Yoga classes at sunset, breakfast with sea view, plenty semi-private spaces with deckchairs overlooking the sea, herb gardens, amazing sunrises and sunsets. Only good things to say, thank you, especially for our welcome on arrival

Minos palace is a little paradise. It is my second time here and I will definitely come back. The views from the hotel are stunning. The renovated rooms are fabulous (be sure to book a renovated one, because the old ones are not nice. I was told that they will renovate all rooms in the future). I love the little beach. The size of the hotel is perfect, not so many people and you feel that you have your space. It is an adult only hotel and very calm. The swimming pool is amazing.The food (breakfast and dinner) is very nice (buffet). I also booked private yoga classes. It was really nice with a beautiful view over the sea.

Perfect to relax and be active. Very friendly and helpful staff. I can very much recommend this hotel!

We stayed for 8 days in a bungalow. Here’s my short summary and reasons why I gave 4*. Apparently they’re trying to become a wellness hotel. What concerns the fitness studio/room. There’s a lot of manual equipment but it lacks training machines. You’ll find a few types of cardio bikes there but that’s about it. As an alternative they offer body sculpting activities with a personal trainer almost every evening which are free and can be booked either at the reception or via the app. The app is also good when you want to order food at the beach or book a diner at the restaurant. Unfortunately I couldn’t find a contact/chat option on the app and I couldn’t chat to reception directly. The beach restaurant was very nice and exclusive with some meals being prepared in front of you. The staff there were brilliant & went an extra mile to meet our expectations. I celebrated my 30th birthday there and they surprised me with a cake. The buffet restaurant was ok. You’ll find plenty of healthy options like fresh fish , vegetables , soups , rice , etc . You won’t find typical fast food like pizza, gyros or burger which is really good especially if you live a healthy lifestyle. The supervisor Elena is really an example of a great customer service representative. Thank you for a personalized service & a warm welcome every morning. The rest of the staff were mostly also good. The environment of the hotel is breathtaking. So many flowers & even their own vegetable garden. You can enjoy the view of Agios Nikolaos town while having dinner. We really enjoyed the water sports service at their own beach . That costs extra but it was worth it. We recommend a short trip to Krikri island where you can discover a crystal clear water private beach and even spot a few wild goats . We were also lucky enough to watch a sea lion appearing in front of us. What concerns the hotel beach - it’s not the cleanest water and you’ll find a lot of micro plastic everywhere … it was actually shocking how dirty the water was. Many people including us were picking up plastic bags out of water trying to make it cleaner… If you take a boat trip you’ll realize that rubbish are everywhere… My heart was breaking to see that. It seemed to us , that there was always more rubbish after a cruise ship had visited Agios Nikolaos town. If you prefer a private & quiet atmosphere then choose a bungalow. They’re located almost directly at the beach overlooking the sea. Unfortunately they were not refurbished. That’s the only disappointment. The Agios Nikolaos town is 20 min walking distance. We took a boat trip to Spinalonga island from there. Plenty of shopping opportunities at Agios Nikolaos , Restaurants & even a City lake. The hotel left us a good impression I would recommend it if you like a peaceful , healthy & relaxed holiday . Efcharisto poly

Everything was AMAZING! We can highly recommend this hotel! Don’t now we’re to start…! The Service and the staff is exceptional! We have been to many hotels, but we can’t remember and probably never experienced such a friendly, kind and especially CARING staff! Sometimes staff can be a bit arrogant in a 5-star hotel. But here in Minos Palace: EVERYBODY is very very friendly ! Always with a smile! The reception, everybody in the restaurant / at the breakfast, in the Spa, just everywhere! Unfortunately I don’t remember every name… but Marianna welcomed me, and also Marina, they are wonderful! You walk into the hotel and get an amazing view of the sea and the pool area. Marianna even welcomed us at the entrance! Everything is so beautiful and chic! The “Captain” at the breakfast: Great! The ladies at the breakfast are incredibly friendly and sweet. The Manager is also very kind and nice! He gave us an Upgrade!!! We got a wonderful new and stylish room with a (almost private/shared) pool! It was great! At the end, because our flight was so late, we got a late check-out without charge! So so nice! The cleaning ladies are also very kind, friendly and really good! Everything is very clean. The breakfast is wonderful! Also a lot of greek food to try! Fresh Omelett every day! They prepare it for you just as you want :) Some things at breakfast change every day, so there is always something new. The view (on the sea) during breakfast is lovely! The main pool is awesome, the whole pool area is beautiful. The location of the hotel is unique!!! Quiet, but you can walk to the nice city Agios N. , it takes you around 35 minutes. The best thing to do (if you want to be more flexible) is renting a car ( we usually do that) and then you can easily drive to the city centre. We can also recommend the restaurant at the hotel (Inblue restaurant). The view again: Amazing! And great food! Again wonderful service. The Spa: I booked even some massages, because Inesa is amazing (I know I use the word all the time, but she just is!). She is a real physiotherapist. I have had many massages in my life… and she is certainly one of the best! Also the Spa Manager, Adelina is very kind and friendly. Manages and explaines everything to you. Regarding Covid: They take a lot of care. Everybody of the staff wear masks. On every table etc. desinfection bottles. The Gym and Spa (steamer and sauna) is private, you have to book it in advance, but you can also just ask and maybe it’s free if you need it. There is a lot of „entertainment“. They offer yoga classes, HIIT training and other things. The Yoga teacher (I had a girl) is also amazing! Her English is perfect. She explaines a lot and is really really good! There are different Yoga styles, but the Flow Yoga is wonderful. I loved it! You can also find her on YouTube ;) It’s called Anthos Yoga. I was not a big Yoga person, but now I think I will become one ;) You have to try it! So, we can highly recommend this hotel and would come back (and we are actually quite picky…;) ) They do really everything to make your stay wonderful. They care so much! I was staying here for a week with my family and grandparents, we had a really wonderful time! The staff is very welcoming and always tries to care for your needs or whether you need anything. Very helpful for us considering this is our first time in Crete. The food in the restaurants in the hotel is amazing, we went out few times to try to eat local, but honestly it was better to stay and eat at the hotel, the quality is simply so good. There is a walking distance of 2 minutes to get to a private beach with a crystal clear water. Every sitting space near the rocky cliffs side supports ordering remotely, which kind of surprised me. Waiters have to walk so much and get to you on risky steps, which I respected haha. Overall we felt like Kings and Queens here and if you want to have an amazing stay with wonderful views while staying on Crete then this hotel is the place. Honestly I don't know how you can top the experience we've had. Cheers! Lukasz
