Wyndham Grand Crete Mirabello Bay - Havania

Dear Management, your service need to be improved for sure!!! The waiters in restaurant doesn’t deign to come if you not buying extra things. Smoking behind the tables is terrible and we are not enjoying clouds of smoke in the morning while have breakfast especially with a child’s, respective Staff doesn’t responded properly. But on the other hands location of two beaches is perfect, rooms are cozy and more or less comfortable

The family room which a pleasant surprise - 2 bedrooms with a small interconnecting room. The room was well equipped although there was no milk for coffee. Tea and coffee was not replaced in the room. We were provided with 2 coffee capsules for our 3 night stay. Generous. An contact lens found on the bathroom floor. Otherwise the room was clean. Both toilet lids were broken. The fridge was smelly. A repair had been done outside our room with brown tape. The buffet breakfast and dinner are fine (but not great) and no fresh coffee or tea are provided which is very disappointing and odd for a hotel that claims to be 5*. One can get very average coffee from a machine which is served in thick canteen style cups with no saucers. When I asked staff if there was any fresh coffee, it achieved nothing. The juices are terrible and no fresh juice is provided. Guests eat breakfast and dinner in swimming and casual gear, some men with no tops on and there is a general feeling of an above average all inclusive hotel for principally for Russians. The bin by the swimming pool clearly hadn’t been emptied for days and rubbish was blowing out of it. The grouting in the pool is filthy. There is a lot of sun bed reserving guests with no apparent hotel policy to prevent it. There aren’t enough sun beds on the beach. The margarita pizza was absolutely terrible and an example of how not to make a pizza. Some of the bar staff aren’t very friendly, bordering on rude. Staff in the lobby bar were much better. Corridors are not air conditioned and are too warm. We came from the Sheraton hotel in Rhodes - a different class of hotel. One wonders if this hotel is hanging onto a 5 star rating as it’s not like any 5 star hotel I have stayed in before. There were definitely some good points but there is plenty room for improvement especially to justify a five star rating.

Interior room decoration was tired, we eventually swapped rooms to the main hotel building which was much nicer. The shower sprayed the bathroom unless it was positioned in one way, i asked at reception if this could be fixed but don't think it was. There was a lot of noise due to furniture being moved out of the hotel, also beach chairs were removed due to the hotel closing for the winter. Half board food was ok but repetitive, the a la carte restaurant was closed, again due to end of season. Many of the restaurant staff did not wear their face masks properly, although all the staff were very helpful and approachable.

Hotel was good, there’s room for improvements, would not recommend if you are vegetarian as not much vegetarian selection in the restaurants. Also we found a maggot in my wife’s fruit when we had breakfast. Staff where excellent specially the lady at the bar, ‘Hara’ she makes the best cocktail and mock-tails i have ever tried. If it was not for the maggot it would have been 4-5 stars.

Stunning setting & bungalows are absolutely beautiful. Well worthy of 5 stars. Around a 20 min walk into the gorgeous town. A little hilly if that's an issue.

Trying hard to be a five star hotel, with little success. This hotel could be amazing but my wife and I left feeling that we did not wish to return because of the management's rather petty ways. Who ever charges for drinking water at dinner. Fish served highly over cooked an inedible. I could list a lot of other items and will but in my TripAdvisor review.

The staff were really helpful. They couldn’t do enough for you. They made the holiday a fantastic experience. In particular the reception manager was a kind and helpful man and Demetrius at the Marina Yacht Club Was so so helpful. We took our paddle board and the two bays were great for water sports. The owner of the water sports centre was really helpful. Beautiful relaxing place. Comfortable rooms. Oh and we had an upgrade to a sea view. Wonderful!

*Edited Hotel decor was immaculate and my room seemed recently updated. It was not super busy so staff had the capacity to really treat you well!! Staff super friendly and hard working. Location and views are amazing. No real need to leave unless you want to, everything you need there. Spa and massage was amazing experience!
