Είναι έργο του γλύπτη Γιάννη Παρμακέλλη και έχει στηθεί σε ένα όμορφο μικρό παρκάκι στη Λεωφόρο Δημοκρατίας, εκεί όπου κάποτε βρίσκονταν το 17ο Δημοτικό Σχολείο, γνωστό ως "Ξύλινο".
The Monument to the Dead of the Workers' Order was built at the expense of the Heraklion Labor Center.
It is the work of sculptor Yiannis Parmakellis and is set in a beautiful little park on Republic Avenue where the 17th Elementary School, once known as "Wooden", once stood.
