Βρίσκεται στη νότια πλευρά του Σταδίου χτισμένος πάνω σε ορθογώνιο πόδιο, που προεξέχει από το τείχος σαν προμαχώνας. Το ναόσχημο κτίσμα ήταν ταφικό και αποτελεί ένα είδος Ηρώου – Μαυσωλείου. Σε ορισμένα στοιχεία του σχετίζεται και το Ηρώο της Καλυδώνος. Προσωπικότητα με πλούτη και επιρροή, στην οποία απένεμαν οι Μεσσήνιοι κατά την πληροφορία του Παυσανία, τιμές ηρώων, ήταν ο Μεσσήνιος ισόβιος αρχιερέας και Ελλαδάρχης Σαιθιδάς. Είναι επομένως πολύ πιθανό το Ηρώο – Μαυσωλείο του Σταδίου να ανήκε στην οικογένεια των Σαιθιδών. Σε αυτό ενταφιάζονται και δέχονταν ηρωικές τιμές τα επιφανή μέλη της οικογένειας, από την ίδρυση του Ηρώου τον 1ο αιώνα μ.Χ. p	pts pts on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely must see. However- I wish you could enter and see the actual internals. Very significant construction- since the base is probably 20 meters off the ground since the building was built over a cliff! Very well built-in and beautiful!
