★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic hidden treasure in Athens. To get there from the central tourist area just get on the metro at Akropoli and get off at Elleniko and it’s a 15 minute walk from Elleniko. There’s 4 old planes there (the best being the 747 of course) and it makes for a great photo opportunity. Don’t think you need to be an avgeek to appreciate it. Go there sooner rather than later because there are planes to develop the old airport into a tourist resort.
