This was without doubt the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in! We have just come back from a 9 day stay in this luxurious paradise. The rooms were gorgeous and so comfortable and spacious. The food was amazing too. We opted for the all inclusive option and we were absolutely spoilt! The staff went above and beyond for us throughout our stay and they were genuinely the nicest people we have ever encountered on a stay anywhere! They really made us feel welcome. The ocean views from the hotel were breath taking and we felt we were in heaven looking out into the blue. The hotel itself was pristine and modernly decorated. Everything was well organised and run like clockwork. All staff were wearing protective equipment due to covid which put us at ease. We will definitely be returning to this amazing gem and we couldn't recommend it more!

We had an amazing holiday! Room beautiful , staff most welcoming and attentive and delicious food. Roula from reception the sweetest to deal with and recommended us places to visit. Nothing to fault! I was nervous after checking some reviews but don't mind ! Sunsets are unreal from the hotel terrace! They even dropped to the room a bottle of wine and fruit basket for our celebration. Yes you will see some ants but that s the area and the climat! Definitely recommended!

We are staying in room 9206 which has beautiful views as does the whole hotel, the staff are very friendly and provide great service. The pool area however is dangerous there are protruding screws and sunken decking planks. The room facilities are not as advertised there are no tea/coffee making facilities and no robes. We have asked for various things like towels from reception and had to chase when we arrived our safe did not work and out deadbolt on the door also did not work. The food is as you would expect for an all inclusive buffet but is often cold, for some reason they do not use the heat lamps on the hot plate, all inclusive snacks consist of cold pizza and biscuits with no variety. The Animation team try their best with what they have but again it is lacking, it is clear the owners do not wish to invest in the hotel or their guests which is very sad as it could be a lovely hotel and the staff try their best. The pavements are very slippy and our friends 12 year old child slipped over but was fortunate not to have a serious injury. This is not a five star hotel the pictures displayed are not the reality of what you see when you arrive!

Not a 5 Star Hotel, maybe 3 Stars but not more. The Hotel is old and needs overall in all means. The rooms furniture has many damages and is dirty especially the sofas. Sitting or putting any private stuff on those is disgusting. The pool area is horrible. The pool tiles are dirty and the deck around damaged. It is also dangerous to walk as the deck is not even any more and has not been made in a decent way. Furniture e. G. Brackets of umbrellas are broken and unsafe. Furthermore one pool was out of order. There is nor service at the pool. For a 5 Star Hotel not acceptable. The food during lunch is the same in the evening. Additionally it has nothing to do with greece, except some dishes made like being in a cafeteria. Juice in the morning consists of sugar water with artificial flavour. In the evening the bar near the reception was open. You can sit inside or you on a ugly terrace without upholstery on the furniture. Also no service personal is present to serve anything. We booked 3 nights. After one night we checked out. The homepage is stating “benchmark of 5 Star Hotels”. In my personal opinion it is a deception. I can warn only. Choose another hotel if you expect 4 or 5 Stars. If you travel with kids bear in mind. There is nothing, except an old pool. Check my photos to get an impression.

After reading some of the reviews we we’re quite nervous about our stay but overall, it was quite pleasant. For those expecting a 5 star resort, due to Covid and maintenance issue, this hotel is definitely at most a 3 star. The hotels location is good, about a 15 minute drive from the airport. We booked transfers but the hotel will book you a slightly pricy but very nice taxi. There is nothing much to do in the immediate are however the hotel does provide a free shuttle to the nearest beach. The shuttle only runs in the morning at weird times so make sure to get all that information on your first day. There is also a very affordable coach that runs past the hotel and takes you to the nearest city Chania. On the way, there is also a lovely beach you can get off at which we preferred over the beach in Stavros. The location overall was ok thanks to the shuttle. For those looking for a relaxing slightly secluded stay, this would be perfect. In regard to the food, we were let down and near the end of our 7 day stay, I was quite fed up with the same food on rotation. Due to Covid, there is only one buffet style restaurant open. The food does change somewhat between lunch and dinner but it’s all pretty bland and gets very repetitive. The chef was lovely and showed us round on our first day and the staff are very attentive when it comes to cleaning tables and taking plates but overall, the food was very bland, repetitive, sometimes cold and nowhere near what you would expect from a 5 star hotel. The only redeeming thing was the beautiful views we had when sitting outside. In terms of facilities, the hotel does have a lovely spa and car rental. Due to Covid, there is a shortage of cars on the Island so renting a car would’ve cost a minimum of €95 euros a day. The lady running the spa is lovely and I had a lovely aloe Vera treatment and massage. The inside spa pool was closed due to Covid- not really sure why it was closed though. The two outdoor pools were nice however the decking is damaged and the sofas and chairs weren’t as clean as I would’ve liked them to be. Entertainment is extremely limited. Where staff try extremely hard to be entertaining, most of the staff looked drained and at most some nights we got some music. The outdoor terrace next to the bar was nice but had limited seating. The cocktails were nice but you could tell they were made from cheap local spirits. Bar staff were lovely and even remembered our order by the end of our stay. The room was very mediocre and again not what I would expect from a 5 star hotel. The room was an ok size with a nice big bed but again due to Covid apparently, all the decorations were taken out of the room. Again, I think this is a lazy step from management trying to cut cleaning costs. The tv was very small and we struggled to see it from our bed. Our ‘garden view’ was actually a view of the car park and I was forever conscious of people looking into our room. Luckily there were plenty of nice places to sit in the hotel or this would’ve been a major let down. Our air conditioning was excellent thankfully however I did read in some reviews that there were ants in the bathroom and we did have ants occasionally just in the bathroom. It didn’t bother me too much but again, not a 5 star experience. At check in, staff failed to mention that room service come very early if you don’t ask them to come later. This is something we had to find out ourselves but once we asked for them to come later in the day, our room was always cleaned and looked lovely. Overall, we had a lovely stay but do not expect a 5 star stay. Expect a good 3 star resort, facility and services. We got a good price for our holiday so we weren’t too bothered by all the things that I have listed above but for those explicating a luxurious stay. This is not your hotel.

Lots of great things about the hotel but it is in need of some TLC. The decking is broken in places and it's dangerous with screws lifted. Could cause serious harm if someone doesn't see it. Some of the grip on the slopes has warn away so it's very slippy around the pool. Numerous people have fallen/slipped while we were there. All the food I have had has been nice but it's limited choice. For a hotel that's classed as 5 star, I did expect much better. The rooms are comfortable but basic, but that was fine by me as I only spend time in the room at night. The pool area is great, it has sun from morning until night. The pool is salt water and was lovely and warm. It was spotless throughout the entire holiday. Pool towels provided can be changed daily or whenever you like and the rooms are cleaned daily with shower towels, bottled water and cleaning products all provided each day. Drinks are all lovely but snacks didn't look great, although I didn't try any as I was full from the meals anyway. We tend to eat out a lot regardless of all inclusive and the food in taverns was amazing so try to get out and enjoy Crete. The hotel is out of the way but the bus to get everywhere is regular and cheap. Also the hotel provides a free bus to Stavros so that's good. Being out of the way did bring peace and serenity to the holiday so it's not always a bad thing. Entertainment team were great, funny, friendly and approachable. As were the staff, they were all such lovely people and would do anything for you. The views around the hotel are breathtaking. Sitting on the roof terrace with great company and drinks each evening was in many ways just perfect. The hotel also has wonderful views of the sun set and no matter which way you face you have photo opportunities. All in all I don't think Mr and Mrs White is a 5 star hotel. But that doesn't mean it isn't a beautiful hotel that can provide a fantastic holiday if it's given some much needed TLC ADDED POINT - I'd just like to reiterate that the staff here are amazing. The problems within this hotel aren't due to staff or management, they're due to the owners. All staff from management to cleaners were so friendly, welcoming, helpful and they are a credit to the hotel.

Very fine place located away from over crowded cities, rooms are clean and spacious. Beautiful see view, helpful and kind staff. I am only disappointed in food in bar by the swimming pool, there should be some more options like fries or hot dogs and so on, also swimming pools aren't heated and are open only from 10am to 6pm. Swimming at the evening in such place would be fantastic.

Amazing place for a quiet getaway, away from the noise. The hotel is beautifully situated, the views are unforgettable. A beautiful sunset. Rooms are cleaned every day and thoroughly, staff ALWAYS smiling, helpful, friendly, despite the terrible heat. Animators are friendly, funny, and the greatest was the Thursday performance of Drag Queen - greetings to the wonderful Krystian :-) Every meal was a feast, I don't eat meat and sometimes I have nothing to eat in the hotel, but here was a very large selection for vegetarians, a selection of local dishes, endless amount of olives <3. Stelios - the chef is a very nice and kind person. On the first day, he showed me around the restaurant and told me about the dishes, which was very helpful and nice. Every day, smiling, he asked if I liked everything and checked that everything was fresh and that nothing was missing. Chef at the highest level. I hope that when I come back to you, the quality of the food will remain and the wonderful people who make you forget about the minor shortcomings of the hotel. I also enjoyed a massage and thank you very much to Effie and her friend masseur for a wonderful relaxing time and kindness. I highly recommend staying at Mr & Mrs White.
