Mystique, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Santorini - Santorini Island

MYSTIQUE hotel is absolutely amazing! We stayed there for 3 night last week and we will never forget this wonderful hotel! The view is amazing, the staff is extremely polite and helpful, the breakfast is incredible! Strongly recommended!!!

I booked the first days of the season; the place was not half full since the season just started. Though, we were happy with our stay; the room type we booked was Vibrant Suite (no jacuzzi), and got upgraded to Wet Allure Suite (with jacuzzi outside with the sea view)… it was a bit bumpy the first night… The first day we did not spend much time in the hotel, and did not realize there was no heater in our room. All the rooms are caldera (cave), so they naturally are a bit colder. The first night the in-room temperature was around 12C and it was very humid… we could not stay and had to call the concierge to help us fix it… but there was no fix… eventually we had to be moved to another room ~2am… and there was no Wifi; I had to use my cellular data. Next day, they eventually fixed the Wifi issue around noon and heater issue (central AC) around 5pm while we were out there exploring the island. Even with the horrible first night, we still enjoyed the extraordinary view, the breakfast, and the jacuzzi very much. I love Santorini and would love to visit again in the future… but I doubt I would stay again at the Mystique… there are places half of the price but you might get more - extraordinary view, breakfast, jacuzzi, personal-touched small items/ gifts, clear sunset view, and complete private balcony with jacuzzi outside (in Mystique if you are not paying $1500+, you won’t have the private access to your suite and people can walk by in front of your room/ jacuzzi).

One of the best views. Amazing customer service and they also have a WhatsApp number, that you can send messages to what you want and they are pretty quick. We had a Jacuzzi in the room, which was amazing... Only downside is we had to call the reception to get it filled up and drained, as the mechanism is not tricky, so they advise to call them to operate the jacuzzi. The views from the room and the hotel are amazing and breathtaking. There is a lot of stairs that needs to be climbed. The staff will assist with the luggages, but on a hot sunny day it's tough for everybody. We had an amazing experience and will definitely stay again.

We had an overall positive experience at this hotel. This would be a 5 star review if the hotel was priced more modestly, and if it didn’t claim to be “5 stars”. I give it 3.5 stars which in this case rounds up to 4. Pros: - arguably the best views on the island. The hotel is situated towards the bottom of any resort in Oia, which provides unobstructed views to the caldera - especially from the infinity pool - the concierge service is amazing. They do EVERYTHING. - fantastic rooms, each offering a unique experience. Our room had an amazing view of the Caldera and a very nice big tub in the bathroom. - very friendly service (when they choose to serve you). I can’t stress enough - the employees are very friendly and we had a good experience interacting with them - the infinity pool is amazing, but it was very cold when we were there (early May) - overall a quiet and older crowd, so you really get to relax and enjoy the views Cons: - for a hotel at this price point, we expect perfection, and the hotel didn’t quite meet these standards - we had to ask for EVERYTHING. The hotel was not proactive in providing us what we needed. Eg we had to ask for water bottles almost every day. We had to ask for soap and shampoo. - there was a very nice tub in our suite, but the water was lukewarm. We had to use the kettle to pour hot water to get it to a desired temperature - service was inconsistent - they offer a turn down service but they only did it two or three nights of our 5 night stay - everything is severely overpriced - the pool bar is very busy during breakfast, so when we ordered poolside cappuccinos we had to wait an absurdly long time to get them, often having to ask twice We had an overall enjoyable experience and this review isn’t meant to be a negative review. But when charging the kind of prices this hotel charges, being friendly isn’t enough. I can’t say we wouldn’t come back (because the pros are quite significant and the views were truly incredible), but I hope the hotel works on being more consistent and proactive in their service offering.

One expects so much upon arrival in Santorini. That includes the property where you stay. Mystique succeeded and then some! The views are a given due to location but what’s not is the quality of service, cuisine, and location. The staff insures your every need and experience is obtainable and delivered. Don’t miss this experience!

The suites, food, service, and ambience were all fantastic. The services provided by the professional management and staff are the main reasons that we keep coming back. The old world elegance is a rare thing, and we value their focus to make sure that everything about the lodging experience is excellent. I highly recomend this hotel. .

We spent 5 nights at Mystique as part of our Honeymoon trip. We were really looking forward to this stay. I had saved up over 10 years of Marriott points for this day, and with my Marriott status I also thought we would receive a superior experience. The property itself delivered, the location is excellent, the hotel has breathtaking views, and the staff was very friendly. We did used the pool frequently where we ordered drinks, and we did dine at the hotel restaurant which we really enjoyed the experience. The food was good, but portions for some dishes were extremely small. Smaller than usual for fine dining. However, the hotel really lacked at personalizing the experience and making us feel like we were on our honeymoon. Breakfast was not included, even at such a high nightly rate. We didn't receive any personalized touches or honeymoon welcome from the property. We also didn't receive any complementary upgrade, even though that is typically offered for a Gold member. All in all, we had a great time, but we felt like for a luxury hotel we really expected more from them to make such an important occasion feel special. Lastly, although the property is wonderful, one thing to note is that there is no privacy, you have guests walking by right in front of your balcony/patio area.

Mystique is everything we dreamed it would be for our honeymoon. The views are spectacular and we really enjoyed the pool area. Jerry and George are a huge reason why we enjoyed this hotel so much. They go above and beyond to accommodate and give exceptional recommendations not to mention their very kind nature! We can’t wait to come back one day !!!
