Δεύτερο φάουλ που οι συρμοί πολλές φορές δεν ανοίγουν τις πόρτες τους στην μεσαία αποβάθρα. Τρίτο φάουλ, σταθμάρχης δεν υπάρχει; Μια γυναίκα σεκιούριτι θυμάμαι πέρσι και φέτος, λίγο αδιάφορη... Επίσης προσθέστε περισσότερα καθίσματα στο μέλλον. Βρίσκεται στον Δήμο Πειραιά, και πήρε το όνομά του από τη συνοικία του Νέου Φαλήρου την οποία εξυπηρετεί. Το 1869, όταν και ξεκίνησε η λειτουργία του Σιδηρόδρομου Αθηνών-Πειραιώς, ορίστηκε η πρώτη στάση στο Φάληρο, η οποία βρισκόταν μερικά μέτρα βορειότερα από τον σημερινό σταθμό. Συγκεκριμένα, η χάραξη του Σιδηροδρόμου Αθηνών-Πειραιώς ήταν εντελώς διαφορετική από τη σημερινή της γραμμής 1 στο τμήμα Μοσχάτο-Πειραιάς. Η εξυπηρέτηση του Φαλήρου γινόταν τότε μέσω διακλάδωσης που ξεκινούσε στο ύψος της (μεταγενέστερης) γέφυρας της Ελ.Βενιζέλου (εκεί που τότε βρισκόταν το Μνημείο Καραϊσκάκη) και κατευθυνόταν νότια μέσω της σημερινής όδευσης της γραμμής σ' έναν υποτυπώδη τερματικό σταθμό στο σημείο που τώρα βρίσκεται η γέφυρα της Καραολή & Δημητρίου. Όπως είναι προφανές από τη χάραξη αυτή, η διακλάδωση κοιτούσε μόνο προς την πλευρά της Αθήνας και οι συρμοί Αθήνας-Πειραιά είχαν διέλευση ανά ώρα, με ενδιάμεσα στο μισάωρο συρμό για το Αθήνα-Φάληρο. Πέρα από το γεγονός ότι αυτό σήμαινε πολύ αραιές συχνότητες για το Φάληρο και τον Πειραιά, δεν υπήρχε η παραμικρή σύνδεση μεταξύ τους. Αν κάποιος κατευθυνόταν από Πειραιά στο Φάληρο, κατέβαινε αναγκαστικά στο Μνημείο Καραϊσκάκη κι απο 'κεί περπατώντας. Αυτό διορθώθηκε τελικά το 1883, όταν μετά την εξαγορά του σιδηρόδρομου από την Τράπεζα Βιομηχανικής Πίστεως, δημιουργήθηκε η χάραξη της γραμμής που γνωρίζουμε και σήμερα, ενώ ο σταθμός του Νέου Φαλήρου μεταφέρθηκε στη σημερινή του θέση και απέκτησε αποβάθρες. Έτσι βελτιώθηκε και η συχνότητα στο μισάωρο για το Φάληρο και τον Πειραιά, ενώ προστέθηκε και η τόσο απαραίτητη σύνδεση Πειραιά-Φαλήρου. Ο ΣΑΠ κατασκεύασε επίσης μια εξέδρα περιπάτου στη θάλασσα, μεικτά λουτρά, θέατρο και ξενοδοχείο, καθώς και πολυτελείς παραθεριστικές κατοικίες. Η σημερινή του μορφή ανάγεται στο 2004, όταν και ανακαινίστηκε εν όψει των Ολυμπιακών Αγώνων σε σχέδιο της εταιρείας Obermeyer. Κατά την ανακατασκευή του σταθμού οι αποβάθρες μειώθηκαν από τέσσερις σε τρεις αλλά από πάνω τους προστέθηκε ένα δεύτερο επίπεδο στο οποίο βρίσκονται τα εκδοτήρια. Κατασκευάστηκαν επίσης οι πεζογέφυρες που ενώνουν τον σταθμό με το Στάδιο Ειρήνης και Φιλίας και το Στάδιο Καραϊσκάκη. Από τις 19 Ιουλίου 2004, ο σταθμός Νέου Φαλήρου προσφέρει τη δυνατότητα μετεπιβίβασης μεταξύ του μετρό και του τραμ και είναι κατά εποχές τερματικός σταθμός τοπικών συρμών του Ηλεκτρικού. Το χαρακτηριστικό στοιχείο του σταθμού εξωτερικά είναι το στέγαστρό του, που έχει σχεδιαστεί με την πρόθεση να θυμίζει γλάρους με ανοιγμένα φτερά. Ο σταθμός διαθέτει δύο επίπεδα. Στο επάνω επίπεδο, συνολικού μήκους 130 μέτρων και πλάτους 30 καταλήγουν οι σταθερές και κυλιόμενες σκάλες. Εκεί βρίσκονται και τα εκδοτήρια εισιτηρίων, καθώς και εμπορικά καταστήματα, τουαλέτες και το σταθμαρχείο. Στον (επιφανειακό) από κάτω όροφο υπάρχουν οι τρεις αποβάθρες, μία τύπου νησίδας και δύο πλευρικές. Παράπλευρα του σταθμού βρίσκεται αμαξοστάσιο και γραμμή εναπόθεσης αμαξοστοιχιών. Ο σταθμός συνδέεται με πεζογέφυρες με το ΣΕΦ και το Στάδιο Καραϊσκάκη καθώς και με υπόγεια διάβαση κάτω από τη Λεωφόρο Ποσειδώνος με το πρώτο. Ο σταθμός συνδέεται επίσης με τις στάσεις του τραμ «Νέο Φάληρο» και «ΣΕΦ». Μπροστά από τον σταθμό βρίσκεται το μνημείο και ο τύμβος του Γεώργιου Καραϊσκάκη, μιας και στην περιοχή εκείνη έγινε η μάχη του Φαλήρου που βρήκε το θάνατο ο οπλαρχηγός. It is located in the Municipality of Piraeus, and took its name from the district of Neos Faliro which it serves. In 1869, when the operation of the Athens-Piraeus Railway began, the first stop was set in Faliro, which was located a few meters north of the current station. From there you can pick other transportation to go even to the airport. Lso keep in mind that out of the station you can take the busses. From the one side of the road you can go to the port again and from the other side you can go to glyfada area a nice and reach place you can visit
