★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Old Perithia is a place that is one of a kind. It felt like a little adventure to walk through this ghost town which isn't as forsaken as previously thought. There are still some tavernas there.
The view is amazing there as you're high up the mountains of Corfu. But the ruins really take the cake.
While looking into all of these desolate houses, it felt a little bit unreal as how fast a village can look like this one. You got to know that this was once the wealthiest place in Corfu and also was a place to hide from pirates and malaria. I got some Resident Evil 4 vibes while walking the roads there to be honest.
So, if you rented a car you should definitelly visit this place!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is nice to wander around for a while in this little town, musing and fantasizing about the time people hid here for the pirates. Especially the smooth stones of the 'streets' bring you back to these times. It is a nice place to make some pictures We had a drink in one of the little taverns where the homemade walnut pie was very tasteful.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the most engaging landmarks we’ve visited on Corfu. The span of the village remains outgrew our expectations - do book a few hours for a diligent exploration. Kids to walk on their own or parents arms - strollers can be parked courtesy of a local taverna.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing place, like finding an ancient Peruvian village. A highlight of my Corfu trip. There are tavernas at the bottom of the village. And rooms to rent. And so many cats! The road is winding and narrow in the last few kilometers but it's manageable, you have to slightly pull over sometimes.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's an old village that came to live again with nice tavernas and also so.e places to stay ,as in place in nature . There is a selection of tavernas . It's nice to visit if like a quit meal. Otherwise not much to do there , or as part of a walk in nature

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is like traveling though time. There were no people there ( we visited in winter). The old roads, the abandoned houses, the old churches give a unique feeling. It's like you can understand how people lived in older times. Definitely a must for Corfu!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful old village high in the mountains in northern corfu. We cycled up there and arrived early / before the crowds arrived and it was lovely and calm. Several tavernas with lots of character, but most don't open until 11am
