A very cozy and picturesque village mounted on the top of the hill. Most of the houses are very bright and beautiful and some are demolished by time and the forces of nature, which makes them beautiful on their own. There is an excellent panorama to the seaside, some nice shops and restaurants. Everyone is very friendly.

Very nice village. Just come and eat dinner on main square. At weekend many locals come here, so if you want be alone don't come at Sunday.

Amazing mountain village (aprx. altitude 500m), partially preserved partially restored in its initial magnificent architectural condition, offering great views of the bay underneath (Thermaikos Gulf, Aegean Sea). Great accommodation options in originally traditional guest houses, run by locals. The village is famous for its culinary scenery, consisting of the typical Greek taverns - also run by locals - offering the mountainous version of the Greek cuisine (:mainly meat). Easily reachable - by private car or taxi (about 20€ aller-retour), unfortunately no public transportation yet available - from Platamonas (7km) / Nei Pori (10km) / Neos Panteleimonas (3.5km). Great option for hiking as well! It will take you about an hour to get up in the village (i.e. from Platamonas) where you will end up enjoying an amazing lunch or a coffee. People up there are very accommodating and hospitable. Tip: The flaura here mainly consists of chestnut trees, thus every year in October there's the Chestnut Celebration (: Καστανογιορτή) taking place at the village's central square (: πλατεία), in a very festive mood, where you will get to know locals and their seducing way of celebrating. Enjoy your visit!

A traditional village that is worth visiting. Numerous places to take your coffee alongside traditional sweets and handmade pies.
