Very small church inside a rock in front of the sea... Its worth visiting and keep in mind the 10' stairs you have to ascend.

The monastery is a must visit experience for any visitor to Amorgos regardless of religious background. The sheer amazement of a building constructed over 1,000 years ago can only be surpassed by the effort of constructing it right into the cliff side. Pictures don't do this experience justice, and the monks and staff that welcome guests made us feel welcome and taught us a lot about the area and the monastery itself.

Wonderful monastry. If the weather is right this place is just magical. Remember that man should wear long trousers and women need to cover shoulders and knees out of respect. Inside it is really narrow but you can look a the religious pictures and paintings. Prepare some coins for donation. If youre on Amorgos you really should go there!

Amazing inside and out. You will need to dress appropriately ( for women at least short sleeves and covered legs, but they have clothing to cover up that you can borrow. Not that they do close for lunch. Worth the effort to visit! Water provided gratis inside!

Must see when you visit Amorgos. Note that it is a bit of a hike from the carpark to the monastery but it's worth doing. The monks are really welcoming and friendly. It's free admission but donations are welcome there. You do need to wear certain attire, so no shorts and shoulders need to be covered. Stunning views on the way up and at the top.

Beautiful monastery with awesome views and rich history. They serve the local liquor at the end of your tour. You only get to see a small portion of the monastery so it's hard to imagine what the daily life is like for the monks who love there.
