★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ανηφοριζοντας την Πεντέλη θα βρεις το πυροφυλακιο. Αν έχει καθαρή ατμόσφαιρα έχει ωραία θέα, πιάτο η Αθήνα. Εκεί κοντά είναι τα αρχαία λατομεία μαρμάρου με τα οποία χτίστηκε ο Παρθενώνας , οι στοές από τα εγκαταλελειμμενα έργα του Νάτο της δεκαετίας του 60 και η σπηλιά του Νταβέλη.
Climbing Penteli you will find the fire pit. If it has a clean atmosphere it has a nice view, Athens dish. Nearby are the ancient marble quarries with which the Parthenon was built, the galleries of the abandoned 60s NATO works and the Davelis Cave.

The view from there is magical. You see the skates like dollhouses. Yes, your eye reaches Piraeus.

Constructed by volunteers of the non Profitable Society for the Protection of the Environment and Regeneration of Pentelikon mountain, EPPAP (greek: Ε.Π.Π.Α.Π., ΕΝΩΣΗ ΠΡΟΣΤΑΣΙΑΣ ΠΕΡΙΒΑΛΛΟΝΤΟΣ ΚΑΙ ΑΝΑΠΛΑΣΗΣ ΠΕΝΤΕΛΙΚΟΥ). During the dangerous summer months, volunteers manned the guardhouse 24/7 and kept an ever vigilant watch for wildfires.
Following the devastating forest fire that started on the 16th of August 2007, during the 2007 European heat wave, which ravaged the remaining forest areas and burned many residences in the adjoining towns, the number of volunteers gradually reduced. Due to this, the control of the fire guardhouse was ultimately transferred over to the fire brigade.
As of today it remains abandoned and in urgent need of repairs, as the strong winds and the rough weather conditions took their toll on the wooden structure.
