Pantokrator Hotel - Barbati

Hotel is aged. That infinity picture is a good photo of what you do not see when at pool side. Room is comfortable without offering more. We were one day late to the hotel due to the wonderfully unclear PLF rules. Watch out when you are advised to complete before 11:59 PM. It means Greek time. If you miss the cut of there are none other than robots to contact. If the TV does not work, be ready for a dressing down by the guy who will tell you about HDMI and why you should not try to follow the on TV instructions to fix what is not broken. By the way if you are German TV will be plentiful. If not then good learning for others. Play time at the pool. Should be great for families, unless your unfortunate as we are to have the resident child minding by proxy. Playtime abuse in the water means we spent the majority of the holiday avoiding the pool, owners pushing their kid on to resident guests not good. Especially when that involves punching, kicking, poking holes in swimming gear and holding kids under water. Complain to the hotel I hear you say. But why, what difference to the next weeks guests? We booked with an agent tool that does not allow feedback. So I put feedback out here. Spend a little more and get down by the beach or hire a car. Barabati is OK if you have a hire car, otherwise you are restricted to a couple of realistically walking distance Stone beaches. Greece has the sea, weather, and views. The rest well I guess it depends. Update. After 3 rounds of discussion with the hotel, they made appropriate steps to offer their apology for what happened. I leave the review otherwise as a reminder that responsibilities start and end with the establishment & will always be the case, those who we spoke to were sincere and for that we are grateful.

The hotel did not met our expectations. The room they initially gave us was definitely not like in the pictures. The mattress was soft and old. The towels were old. To access the hotel you need to go up a hill in the heat. After that to access the room you will need to walk another hill, definitely a nightmare to do. The room they gave us initially was completely disappointing and small. After complaining the first night, they changed us to the room that we actually booked based on the pictures on the website. The biggest issue of the hotel is that it is infected or wasps. Literally infected: the room, the balcony and the swimming pool, the breakfast lounge, wasps everywhere. You will not have a minute of peace. The room was full of insects and mosquitos and the air conditioning did not work properly, you would die of heat at night bitten also by the mosquitos. WIFI in the room it is poor, if you are thinking about using the internet connection to work, forget about it. I must say the staff at the hotel is friendly and helpful but it does not change the fact that the hotel has issues that need to be solved to improve the quality. The breakfast does not offer a big variety and the products are not fresh. The options for fruit are limited (melon and watermelon) The Barbati area is nice but I would recommend to stay in Gouvia or somewhere else. I would not recommend this hotel if you don't want to ruin your holidays.

The hotel met ours expectations. Very good room, pool and an amazing view. From my room, I could see Albania and basically the whole island. We went to room 520 which is located on the top of the apartaments. Yes, it is a long walk up hill, but the view you get is fantastic. The pool is very nice and it has a pool bar with a very nice lady called Ema. Food is good, breakfast too, but honestly, for being Vegan, it was a little bit difficult to find vegan food in the hotel, pool bar and also in the village of Barbati. If you are not Vegan you can't complain about the food, seriouly, it would be a sin the buffet offers a lot of options. In my opinion the hotel should be a 4 stars hotel, I have stayed in many hotels my whole lige and that was the one I liked most. Thanks Pantokrator Hotel for this amazing stayed :) My suggestion to get better: VEGAN OPTIONS, PLEASE :)

I am normally a five ? person unless it was an awfully unbearable experience. First of all, this hotel don't have shuttle bus nor city bus transfer. You have to take a taxi, taxi drivers are eager for money and over charged us, we figured out the day we leave as we also need a taxi to get to the airport which was much cheaper. Secondly, there was a boy in the swimming pool bullying other children. Pushing their faces and drag their legs in the pool. No supervisor or parents around to watch him. figured out later that he is the son of the hotel owner. This is just ridiculous. Last but not the least, Got stung twice by the wasps by the pool. They are everywhere!! Because its location is on the hill, there is only one supermarket available, 2 euro for a 1 L bottle of water. Staff was nice, breakfast is ok but not many choices. Corfu has amazing beach and weather. Other than that things are a bit run down. People here put money before anything else. Very commercial feeling. Food and drink are overpriced Compared to Spain and Portugal. Well, personally I won't come back again as I have been so many nice places with the whole package much nicer and cheaper.

Hotel is very interesting. It is located high on the mountain slope.. You won't find there elevator. If you need to bring your bagage to your room, they have a car for this purpose ?? Walking up and down the hill will be your daily routine. But as we are sporty for us it was perfect way to do extra trainings ?? Staff is simple amazing. Very kind and helpful. Food is very good as for three star hotel. Clean and quite big pool. Room was cleaning every day. Unfortunately there were no evening enterntainment programs because of covid. In the main bar they have very good cocktails ???

We stayed there on our way around the island. I can highly reccomend this place. Apartament was clean and specious. We had wonderful view from the balcony. The breakfast was really nice.

I only stayed one night but enjoyed it very much with its modern rooms and great breakfast.

The location is spectacular, you can see the bay all the way to Corfu fortress & Albania mountains, so we booked the "Superior triple room" which was OK but with quite old shower with a strange floor tiling that was ~10cm higher than the room floor (my daughter bumped into this "hidden" step a couple of times). Getting to the rooms is quite exhausting, as the hotel is mounted on a mountain slope and the rooms are condo / villa style that you need to take the stairs (or have you car to get to the lobby..), our room specifically needed ~80 stairs to the lobby and additional ~20 to the restaurant/pool. One annoying thin, though we paid >120 Euro per room including dinner, we were asked to pay for the water(!!) during the dinner....
