Excellent dive into the history of Lefkada, through sounds and photographs and items . Period of 1800-1960. Feel free to ask Mr Katopodis questions and exhibitions. Also highly advisable to read up on Lefkada's history before visiting, so that all pictures and stories fit into the correct sociopolitical context.

A very-very small room (one room) with various antiques and objects. Felt like they were chosen randomly; whatever the owner's basement had. For a guy like me who grew up in a small town with his grandmother, I was only amazed by, literally, two things. The rest were pretty familiar. I called two times the day before, never got an answer. Only the third time the owner answered me and he arrived 10 minutes after. Overall an OK experience. One thing bothered me a lot; he tried to sell me, 5 euros, illegal CD's with traditional music. He was a bit persuasive. Not too awkward, though.

Great museum. Lots of interesting things to see and learn about the music history in Lefkada. Nice guide to tell you all about the history. You can buy CD with greek music from the early days in Lefkada. When i went there there was no ticket only a donation required. The museum is on a side street next to the shops. I found it by accident while walking around the town.

When you go to this museum, the owner will be very happy to share all the stories of this gorgeous town. He'll tell you of partisans, of himself, of the history of each photograph and gramophone. He'll even put a disc on for you and will try to explain the history of swords and guns and all the memorabilia. Don't be shy and live a decent donation, it's worth it! ( you don't pay the ticket, but donation is what keeps the museum open)
