Eine in der Bauweise eines falschen Gewölbes errichtete Brücke, über die seit Jahrtausenden Leute rüber latschen. Wahrscheinlich eine der ältesten noch erhaltenen Brücken in ganz Europa. Auf der einen Seite sind eine kleine Kapelle und ein paar Schlafhöhlen in den Fels gehauen. Auf der anderen Seite befinden sich Reste einer Mühle aus späteren Zeiten. Man kann gut unter die Brücke gehen und sich am Bächlein erfrischen. Und danach setzt man sich auf die Brücke, lässt die Füße baumeln und freut sich sehr, auf Kreta zu sein und die Sache so intensiv erleben zu können. One of the most idyllic places I've seen so far. This gem is reached after a 20-minute walk. A bridge built in the style of a false vault, over which people have trudged over for thousands of years. Probably one of the oldest surviving bridges in all of Europe. On one side there is a small chapel and a couple of sleeping caves carved into the rock. On the other side are the remains of a mill from later times. You can go under the bridge and refresh yourself at the brook. And then you sit on the bridge, let your feet dangle and are very happy to be in Crete and to be able to experience the thing so intensely.
