The Royal Marmin definitely offers a Royal outstanding experience, from exceptional decor, views and attention to detail from the moment you arrive to departure. One of the best hotels located between Plaka and Elounda. We stayed on a bed and breakfast board basis and although the hotel prices are top end you absolutely receive top end quality, food and drink measures to mirror the price. The attentive staff from all areas really deserve the highest recognition for their excellent customer service and should be applauded on their absolute professionalism. The private transfer is a must to get you on your holiday sooner without delay. We had the standard room and it was superb and totally adequate for our stay, only minor issue was size of balcony but made up for by the outstanding panoramic views from all the staggered terraces and pool. Beach is beautiful and so is the food which is plentiful in portions. The Samaurai restaurant really is a must visit for the outstanding food. We ate regularly in Plaka and Elounda and the local cuisine is excellent you won't be disappointed. Spinalonga is a historical treasure and we took the boat from Plaka to visit 10 euro per person return. Also hired a quad from Elounda and toured the mountains which is beautiful as well as Voulisma Beach and Agios Nicholas which is also lovely. We would definitely return to this hotel and area, really deserves the 5star rating and Anna Hotel Reservation Manager deserves a mention for her outstanding customer service, all the team are amazing.

We enjoyed our stay at Royal Marmin. The room was comfortable, quiet and spacious enough with lots of closet space. The view from our terrace was magnificent! Magical. The beds were soft and comfortable. The staff are exceptional. Very accommodating, cheerful and hard working people. The manager was very helpful in helping us navigate the PCR test appointments. One serious deficiency at the hotel is managing severe allergies. Staff are poorly trained and the communication about severe life threatening allergies is not understood. Breakfast is generous even though the food is always the same, but excellent and with lots of choice. Excellent free cappuccinos and fredos really make a difference. We loved Crete and enjoyed many excursions to learn about the ancient history of this extraordinary place. Thank you!!!

The views from the room and the restaurant are mesmerizing and the hotel is an architectural art in itself. Everything is thought through, even the electrical outlets on the beach for every sunbed pair and strong WiFi- you basically can live and work on the beach. The hotel stuff is great and makes your stay even more comfortable. I loved everything about the hotel and the area. The only thing I did not like is leaving this amazing place. Just take some water with you, they do not provide any drinking water for free. For me not a problem, because I had a car and could go and buy. Otherwise, if you drink a lot like me, thatโ€™s additional experiences that should not be (I am one of those who thinks that drinking water should be free)

We had a wonderful stay here. The hotel has beautiful views. It is built into the mountainside and is quite steep. There are buggies that transport guests from the reception area up to the rooms but the walk is not too bad as the views are quite spectacular especially at sunrise and sunset. The rooms are comfotable and the beds super soft. Note that this hotel is not self-service friendly at all. There are no coffee or tea amenities in the rooms and they do not allow outside food or drinks to be stored in the minibar. We had a half bottle of wine go to waste because of this policy. Also, despite locals drinking tap water, they don't seem to understand the concept, and whenever you need water they bring bottled water. At breakfast, it's free, but you need to request it. The restaurants charge for water and there is no option to get a pitcher of regular water. From an eco-friendly perspective, which this hotel purports to champion, some of these policies are a bit off-brand. Overall though, we very much enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful vacation. Great welcoming staff from the reception, the drivers and the waiters. Anna Kalampouka the most courteous hostess. Gave us a lot of local information that was very useful. The room with the private pool and sea view is wow. Great quiet beach. Nice restaurants. Great massage. The best time I had in many years.

A lovely two-week stay. More staff are needed; it often felt understaffed at the hotel. And, more training about food allergies would improve (requests were often ignored or overlooked). The rooms are excellent, but in-room amenities should be more standardized across all room types (the deluxe rooms get more soap/shampoo than superior rooms, plus get daily free water while superior rooms do not).

This is a beautiful boutique hotel which ha been recently refurbished to a very high standard. The staff and the food is excellent. The Sushil restaurant serves some great dishes. Great value for money but make sure you book a sea view room. The others are not so great in size and views. Definitely a high recommend.
