★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a stunning hotel. They couldn't be more helpful. Trying to book to go back and will be back when we can. we were very lucky to upgraded to 1 of the best hotel rooms I have ever stayed in, up high with amazing views and a private pool. Food was amazing, and adult only, topped it off. Town is a 10-15 minute walk away and very chilled, lovely place to sit and watch the world go by.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food variety very poor, effectively the same thing every day (chicken drumstick with some different sauce)
Hot food also generally bland.
The Asian restaurant was also very bland which was very surprising. The fried ice cream was awful.
Plates weren't warmed effectively and the hot plates to keep the food warm weren't good enough so food was luke warm mostly unless you was lucky enough for them to be replacing it.
Staff were good on the whole. Just a couple let it down, the main waitress at the asian restaurant, the one that took you to a seat at the main restaurant and the miserable bar lady.
The all inclusive was rather limited for the price.
The only positives were the spacious room and the great views saving this from being a 1 star.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We recently had such a beautiful short stay at Elounda Blu. We were greeted very warmly from the lady at reception and we could not have asked for a more friendly and welcoming atmosphere throughout our stay. Rooms were a bit older but very clean with an amazing sunrise view from the balcony, but we were told that the entire hotel will be upgraded/ renovated soon. Food was amazing with plenty of options (also for vegetarians) and you cannot go wrong with all inclusive especially when you relax by pool or beach and want to enjoy a cup of coffee or drinks as well as at the rooftop bar at night. A special thanks to Mr. Manolis, Akis and the entire restaurant & bar team for looking after us so well and making every visit at the restaurant and bar very pleasant, fun and enjoyable. The hotel is situated perfectly in a very quiet location near Elounda and Plaka and only a short drive away from Agios Nikolaos and the sandy beaches there. We will be back for sure, thank you so much.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Location, location, location!
The location of this hotel is unique.
Most of the rooms have a sea view where you can see other islands at a close distance including the Spinalonga Fortress that dates back to the 1500s. The most beautiful site is sunrise when the sun rises over the islands giving breathtaking views of the glass smooth sea and the beautiful silence.
The hotel itself is definitely the best I have stayed in. From the moment you arrive, you are warmly welcomed and given all the information you need for a relaxing stay.
The rooms are built on the hillside and the walk to them is steep but the hotel provides golf buggies any time you need them if you have issues with walking up or down steep hills.
All the current rooms on the lower level (older buildings)are very good with all the facilities you need. The shower is excellent. What is so unique is the balcony bungalows with stunning views of the sea and surrounding small islands.
The hotel has an evening buffet with a good variety of foods to choose from every evening.
There is also an Asian restaurant and next to the dining tables all the food is prepared and cooked in front of you by an excellent Vietnamese chef. His food is outstanding.
The other restaurant is by the pool and is great if you want a change from buffet food. I highly recommend the rib eye steak! You do have to pay extra for this as it is not included in the all inclusive menu but you will not be disappointed. There is a 30% discount if you are a resident at the hotel. There is a good choice of food at this restaurant which is beside the pool.
It’s about a twenty minute walk to Elounda town with a fishing harbour and a great range of taverns and restaurants. A bus stop is outside the hotel if you do not feel like walking but the walk is well worth it!
Elounda Blu hotel has a small private beach with sun loungers and a small bar on the beach for alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. You can also hire canoes, paddle boats etc from this convenient location. The drinks are included if you have an all inclusive holiday here.
There is a main bar on the ground floor and a beautiful alfresco bar overlooking the sea and islands on the 2nd floor.
This is a truly magnificent hotel, awesome staff in a truly beautiful location. It is extremely unique. I highly recommend it and will definitely be returning. This is a place where you can truly relax.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A truly beautiful hotel with gorgeous views. We are still on hols here and because some of the negative reviews, I thought I'd waste no time in reviewing while we are on holiday. So, yes it is on a hill but there is masses of transport up and down and the drivers are prompt and lovely. Amd the views because of that hill are to die for! The bungalows (the first tier of accommodation) can be accessed without the need for transport but for the rest, I'd advise jumping on the plethora of different vehicles that are always available. The staff are so obliging, simply lovely, and cannot do enough to help you and the whole vibe is very relaxed and understated classiness. The manager is always around and seems really motivated and switched on to keeping the hotel running smoothly. The clientele is really international which gives the hotel a great feel...nothing worse than a hotel full of Brits Abroad IMO! The beach is small but great and the views over to the islands are just beautiful. There are plenty of sunbeds throughout the day at the pools and at the beach. In short, if you want a hotel to unwind, chill out and change the pace of life whilst having a great little town with fab tavernas on your doorstep, then this is a place for you. One final word on the rooms, we are staying in the premium suites which were truly lovely. Absolutely top quality and clean...beautifully appointed. The bungalow rooms are a bit more dated but still just as lovely. All in all a superb stay in a lovely hotel. Would definitely recommend and can't wait to come back!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We recently stayed in this hotel as part of our honeymoon. We got upgraded on arrival and the room was decorated for us which was so lovely. There were a few downfalls to this hotel. Some rooms are at the top of a very steep hill (the hotel is on a mountain side) while this leads to spectacular views it meant waiting on someone to take us up and down to the room. This was never a problem for the staff but we felt it took away our independence of being able to pop up and down to the room (walking wasn’t an option considering the steepness and narrowness). There is 3 restaurants-regular restaurant which provides breakfast lunch and dinner buffets. After a couple of days all the food just feels like the same and this can get very boring. The Asian restaurant was nice but difficult to get a booking in it. The third restaurant wasn’t included in the all inclusive offer…neither was a lot of the beverages on offer throughout the resort so while it was all inclusive it wasn’t what we expected and have known other resorts to offer as all inclusive. The area of Elounda is very quiet with not alot happening but great for a relaxing time. The staff at Elounda Blu were super friendly and top class. Couldn’t fault them at all. Overall we enjoyed our stay but it’s not a place we would return to or probably recommend to family and friends.
