V	Vangelis Katsarinis on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ο τοιχογραφημένος ναός του Αγίου Παντελεήμονα στην Καλλιθέα (1865) Το ιερό του Άμμωνα Δία αποκαλύφθηκε δίπλα ακριβώς στο ξενοδοχείο ΑΜΜΩΝ ΖΕΥΣ. Ανήκε στην παλαιά αποικία των Ερετριέων, την Άφυτι, και συνέχισε να λειτουργεί μέχρι και τον 2ο μ.Χ. αιώνα, οπότε καταστράφηκε και στη θέση του ιδρύθηκε νέος, μικρότερος ναός, με συγκροτήματα κτιρίων γύρω του. Το συγκρότημα του ιερού καταστράφηκε βίαια, πιθανόν στα χρόνια του Μεγάλου Θεοδοσίου. Τότε θα πρέπει να χτίστηκε στο χώρο του ιερού και η παλαιοχριστιανική βασιλική, από την οποία βρέθηκαν μόνον αρχιτεκτονικά μέλη, εντοιχισμένα στα κτίρια του άλλοτε μετοχιού της μονής Αγίου Παντελεήμονος, που κατέλαβε το χώρο κατά τη μεταβυζαντινή περίοδο. Στη θέση της βασιλικής χτίστηκε, πιθανότατα κατά τη μεσοβυζαντινή περίοδο, μονόχωρος ναός, που αργότερα αντικαταστάθηκε από το ναό του μετοχιού. Το 1869 ο συγγραφέας Νικόλαος Β. Χρυσανθίδης επισκέφθηκε με τη συνοδεία του Μητροπολίτη Χρύσανθου το Μετόχι Νερόμυλος(Ρώσικο) στην σημερινή Καλλιθέα και αναφέρει σε βιβλίο που εκδόθηκε το 1870 στην Κωνσταντινούπολη ότι οι μοναχοί βρήκαν το 1863 κατόπιν ανασκαφής τα θεμέλια του Αμφιθεάτρου και του βωμού του ιερού. Τα μεγάλα τετράγωνα μάρμαρα που εξήγαγαν χρησίμευσαν στην ανέγερση ναΐσκου αφιερωμένο στον Άγιο Παντελεήμονα(1865) και στην ανοικοδόμηση της Μονής Αγίου Παντελεήμονος(Ρωσικό Μοναστήρι) στο Άγιο Όρος. Όλος ο ναός, το Ιερό Βήμα και το Τέμπλο είναι τοιχογραφημένα με εξαιρετικές αγιογραφίες Ρώσων αγιογράφων μοναχών καθώς η ονομασία των Αγίων που απεικονίζονται είναι στα Ρώσικα.
