Ο νεοφανής Άγιος Ραφαήλ γεννήθηκε το 1410 στο Περαχώρι της Ιθάκης και μαρτύρησε στη Λέσβο στις 9 Απριλίου 1463, αφού πρώτα υπεβλήθη σε φρικτά βασανιστήρια από τους Οθωμανούς. Η εορτή του είναι δυο μέρες μετά το Πάσχα, δηλαδή την Τρίτη της Διακαινησίμου ή Λαμπροτρίτη.
It was built by pious inhabitants of Kassandreia in the area of Kremmidi in 1991. The new Saint Raphael was born in 1410 in Perachori of Ithaca and was martyred in Lesvos on April 9, 1463, after first being subjected to horrible tortures by the Ottomans. His feast is two days after Easter, that is, on the Tuesday of Diakainisimos or Lambrotritis.
