Went for drinks on a walk from Plaka to Elounda. Took a seat, despite the staff acting as if it were too much trouble, and then never got service (maybe we should've just gone up to the bar). Left after 20 mins. It was a shame as the location is lovely and the smells from the kitchen were excellent. At least we got to rest our feet. Would be worth a second attempt when we aren't tired.

Lovely setting and all of the food we had was excellent: tempura prawns and mains of spicy pork and tuna steak as well as the sushi. Price is also not extortionate given the standard and location in a 5 star resort.

Terrible to mediocre taste (Sushi rice was soggy) and overpriced, nice view and good looking Restaurant though. 1 Star for the terrible food which ruined our Dinner. From such an expensive place you'd expect to get simple dishes, such as california roll or tempura, to be well prepared. Since the Restaurant is quite far from any interesting places to visit, i'd just safe the long trip and go some where Else.

Let me start with my experience. I booked 20days ago even before i arrived to crete and got a confirmation from the online website but when i arrived to crete and asked the concierge to confirm the booking, surprisingly they told him there is no booking under my name. After 3 phone calls from my hotel staff they advised us to go at 9h30pm and they would find us a table for 2. We arrived at 9h30pm and they sat us on a table at the entrance of the restaurant far away from all the other tables. Service was the slowest i have ever seen on the island, we ordered a sake bottle and we kept on calling the waiters to come and pour us a glass of sake, and when i was fed up waiting for a waiter to show i stood to serve my wife and i , only then i saw a waiter running towards me advising it is not allowed for guests to pour their drinks, rather she advised me to call her everytime i needed a drink. Hahaha cheapest service ive ever experienced. Now moving to the food, we ordered some nigiris, some sashimis and some makis.after taking the order The waiter advised it would take approx 30mins as the restaurant was too busy(10tables overall). Many items were missing like Toro (tuna belly) which is the tastiest and when asked the waiter said it is too expensive and hard to get! Soft shell crab and uni sea urchin was also missing! The food was taking so much time so we decided to order some edamame and funnily it did not come only after the sashimi started coming. Sashimi was not great at all, the white fish was hard and gewy, scallops were ok and salmon not the best at all. Eel unagi was good though. Nigiri was bad and rice was sticky ! Octopus sushi was bad and hard and we had to spit it out! Makis are big and do not fit smoothly in once mouth and had too much rice! Very surprising for a japanese place on an island that offers cheap and fresh with so many options seafood! To top it all off it was the most expensive dinner for 2 we had on the island 12 sashimi cuts 10 nigiri sushi 4 maki rolls orders 1/2 bottle of sake 280Euros What a ripoff and such and unpleasant experience. Not recommended at all!

Amazing sushi, beautiful view, excellent service. Nigiri was one of the best I have ever had in Europe! Staff very attentive and polite. Free dessert offered at the end. Totally recommended! Google says temporarily closed, but we found it open on the 26.07.2020 (at least as hotelguests). And it is also just in front of the restaurant Poseidon, not at the beach as it shows on the map. You have to walk or drive the way up to the hotel Royal Marmin Bay.

Six stars for quality of products and for the staff. Stunning sea view over the bay of Elounda. Subdued music, relaxed atmosphere. We had a table with a beautiful view of the sea and tried to share different dishes for the table. Everything was good and the sushi was very fresh and well prepared. Our waiter was an exceptional host/waiter. He made the experience delightful. He is a true professional and just a delightful gentleman. The dessert at the end was delicious!. The bananas and ice cream were great.
