 It is an absolutely incredible feeling when you walk on stones polished from time and numerous visitors. Stones that are not here for the first millennium and remember a lot.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Humble remains of a sanctuary dedicated to Artemis Brauronia. Not much is left besides rock cut wall lines and steps and a couple of stone courses delimiting a room in the eastern flank.
Visitors will need to walk right through the sanctuary in order to get to the vantage point from such they can see the Temple of Athena Nike from the East. The views toward to city, the surrounding hills and even the sea beyond are astounding.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Acropolis is definitely a must see historic location and there is no need to further discuss thid. However, I would not recommend doing it during summertime. Athens is very hot, so the humidity and the heat can be overwhelming for some people. Also, if you decide to visit Athens in summer, I strongly recommend wearing a lot of SPF and sun protection. Have water with you at all times!
Plus tip: buy tickets beforehand, otherwise you may spend precious time waiting in lines.
