It’s very pricey, not sure if I felt it was worth it overall and don’t think I will be coming back. Service was attentive but not friendly (is it so hard to smile at people?) Also, what japanese restaurant doesn’t serve hot sake?

The food is tasty indeed albeit way overpriced for what it is. The staff is very polite, too polite even in that they kept coming toward and hovering over our table (the only table with customers in the entire side of the space we sat at), for all the nuanced but ultimately annoying reasons when you are trying to either enjoy your meal in peace or have a conversation without interruptions. There is a delicate balance between keeping an eye on a table in case you are needed standing ready to tend it, and interrupting half a dozen times (to bring water that wasn’t asked for, to ask how the meal is, to take the plates away without being asked to either). We found a hair in one the dishes and when the issue was raised we immediately received a replacement dish and a treat to some very tasty desert. So, all in all not bad food at all, just that the overall experience was not great either despite best efforts.
C	Cookie Chan on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A really nice place! The food was great and tasty, the staff was professional and attentive (a bit too much at times but it didn't bother us) and the environment was very relaxing! It is a bit pricey, but I definitely recommend it!
