Not really something for people on the foot as it is a bridge for cars, this bridge is present at the lowest end of the canal (at the west end). Not much to see here except the cars passing by.

I didn't see it in action. Apparently it's cool when it is in action. However the neighboring remains of the Roman road over which ships were DRAGGED, before the tech was available to create the canal, is really pretty cool!

Unusual bridge located on the north side of the canal which sinks via electric wench instead of lifting to open to let ships in.

One of the bridges that helps you cross from the peninsula to the mainland, and the closest one to Corint. You can also park nearby and get across on foot, just to admire the views. The pedestrian walkway is on the middle of this bridge that can be sunk to let ships pass and it is an interesting thing to see. Close by, you will find old sites where the Germans used to mount machine-guns to guard the passage.

The Sinking Bridge of Poseidonia is a place to visit if in the area…. You can see the channel from bellow and imagine the past time and history of the place!!!

Did not get to see the bridge in action but it's really beautiful and the knowledge that it sinks all the way down to let ships pass instead of parting ways must be bliss.
