Not on the beach. Not a true all inclusive. AC in the room was marginal, and when I called about it turning off, they couldn't help me telling me they were too busy. The food was the best part of our experience. Variety was great and tasted great.

Nice spacious rooms, good food. Not enough waiting Staff, Kids playground indoor and outdoor old/broken. Not enough sunbeds on the beach. A la carte restaurant serves food from the Buffet.

Excellent facilities , nice room, nice location, nice food! The only problem was that some people that work there were very unhelpful! I should ask for something 10 times before I could see results! The only people that knew their job was Eirini at the reception, Kwstas at the restaurant and the boys at the pool bar. The other employers didn’t know their job.

The hotel has pros and cons. The amenities are taken care of, the building, garden and interior is beautiful and clean (the water in the main pool is not so clear though). What’s a desaster is the “All Inclusive”, which is far away from “All Inclusive”, specially of a 5* All inclusive. Coffe is not included at all, and as the pool bar opens at 10 30, you have to wait until then to grab a cappuchino. Water in bottles is also not included. Around 7 alcoholic cocktails, beer, wine and sparkling wine are included, though not of a good quality. The food is (like other people mentioned here before) really bad. Didn’t know that you can even make cornflakes badly, but the cornflakes at breakfast are soft, croissants are often burned (croissants are croissants and should be soft, not like a cookie dear hotel team!), french fries cold and dry. If you can, you should book only breakfast and eat outside instead (Bossa Nova restaurant is a clear recommendation, just a few minutes walk from the hotel). Housekeeping not good either. We left 9 am most of the time, came back at 5 pm, left the “please make the room” sign on the door, and no one came to make the room. And this happened more than once, until we had to discuss the matter at the reception. Receptionists are kind, qualified and always friendly. So, if you want a nice room with your own pool in the Chania area (junior suite with pool or superior double room with pool), you eat outside and are satisfied with a 3, max. 4* service, Solimar Aquamarine is a go-to (we had a junior suite with pool and really loved it!), but if you don’t care about your own pool, want good food and real 5 stars, you should maybe look for something else. Btw, the hotel has a dog, called Aqua who is always around. She is very friendly and everyone loves her. :)

Thanks for the hospitality for one more year. We wish Harry the barman was there this summer too.
